The Manilow Method

S02EP04A: Hosts Logan Allen & Barry Harris celebrate Barry Manilow’s 1985 self-titled studio album MANILOW, also known by fans as "Manilow RCA", "The RCA Album", or "Manilow '85". It was Manilow's first-ever album for a new label on RCA Records after a decade of working with Clive Davis at Arista Records. The episode begins with a round up of the various media formats the album has been released on over the years, followed by the musical personnel who contributed, and then song-by-song analysis of all the songs on Side 1 on the original vinyl release.

S02 Bonus Episode: Hosts Logan Allen & Barry Harris recap the music video that Barry Manilow produced for his cover of "Unchained Melody" which was released as a single from his 2006 cover album THE GREATEST SONGS OF THE FIFTIES. Beyond the 1980s, music videos were extremely rare for Manilow. This one was filmed on the stage of the International Theater at the Las Vegas Hilton which was home to Manilow's concert residency Music & Passion throughout the 2000s.

S02EP03: Hosts Logan Allen & Barry Harris dive into Barry Manilow’s most commercially successful studio album when measured by peak chart position. That honor belongs to the 2006 covers album The Greatest Songs of the Fifties, which debuted at Number One. The album marked a reunion between Manilow and Arista Records President Clive Davis. The episode begins with a round up of the various media formats the album was released on, followed by the musical personnel who contributed, and then song-by-song analysis of all the songs on the original release and all foreign-market bonus tracks.
