Mr Tom Vernon explains in the podcast: “The model is to vigorously pursue the standard revenue streams for football in addition to some unique revenue streams. We’re very commercially orientated in the way that we think, behave and generate revenues to provide the opportunities that we do for our children. The difference in our model, since I founded Right to Dream and since Mr Mansour and Loutfy have come on board as well, is that the intention is always for all the profits that are generated to be invested back into the provision of more opportunities and the creation of new opportunities for children. Those opportunities are through football at the moment, and perhaps other things in the future.”

Mr Mohamed Mansour continued: We feel that we have a responsibility to the communities around us, and immediately we could see how the Mansour Group’s values aligned with what Tom was doing with Right to Dream.

“We are constantly looking for theses for changes in consumer behaviour, such as the adoption of e-commerce, or the adoption of mobile, or the adoption of telemedicine, and invest around those changes. Our investment criteria is simple – we invest in team, market, product, in that order. A strong team will iterate and pivot until they find success within a particular market,” says Mr Adeeb in the podcast.

Mr. Mansour adds: “The challenge for long-term investors like ourselves is to identify the trends that are short-term and those which reflect permanent shifts.”
