How much of your life do you spend inside your own head?

I woke up at around three o’clock this morning with one of those minds that simply wouldn’t switch off. And it got me thinking about thinking itself.

We all have that voice in our heads. It worries about things that haven’t happened, replays conversations from years ago, imagines what other people might think of us and occasionally comes out with something so ridiculous that we wonder where on earth it came from.

But if you can hear that voice... who is doing the listening?

In this episode, I explore the difference between our thoughts and the awareness behind them, and what might happen when we stop believing everything our minds tell us.

I talk about overthinking, rumination, self-doubt and our constant search for approval. Why do we so often need somebody else to tell us we're good enough? Why do we compare our lives with other people's? And how easily can we end up living somebody else's version of life instead of our own?

We also wander into creativity and intuition, those strange moments when an idea simply arrives from nowhere. Are we always creating our thoughts, or could there be times when we're somehow receiving them? And perhaps more importantly, what might we hear if we became quiet enough to listen?

This is a very personal, early-morning conversation about authenticity, intuition, consciousness, trusting yourself and discovering what might exist underneath all that noise in your head.

Because the next time your mind tells you you're too old, too late, not clever enough, not creative enough or simply not good enough, perhaps you don't need to argue with it.

Just notice it.

Because if you can hear the voice, you can't be the voice.

Why Does Time Seem to Be Speeding Up? The Science, Psychology & Spirituality of Time

Have you noticed that the years seem to be passing faster and faster?

As children, six weeks of summer felt endless. Christmas seemed to take forever to arrive. And yet, as adults, we can take the Christmas decorations down, turn around... and somehow we're putting them back up again.

So what is happening?

In this episode, I explore the fascinating science and psychology behind our perception of time, and why our experience of it appears to change as we get older.

We’ll look at the relationship between time, memory and attention; why new experiences can make life feel longer; what routine does to our memories; why frightening moments can seem to happen in slow motion; and how our increasingly fast, phone-filled world may be changing the way we experience our days.

I also venture into some of the stranger territory surrounding time, from Einstein and relativity to meditation, spirituality and the often-discussed Schumann resonance, separating what science can actually tell us from the bigger questions that remain.

But perhaps the most important question isn't why is time going so quickly?

Perhaps it's:

Where am I while it's going?

Because somewhere in the ordinary life you're living today may be a moment that the future version of you would give almost anything to experience again.

Have you ever seen someone who couldn't possibly have been there?

Perhaps you've woken in the night and, just for a moment, seen someone standing in the room. Maybe you've felt somebody sit on the bed, caught a figure from the corner of your eye, sensed the presence of someone you love after they've died, or experienced something you simply couldn't explain.

In this episode, I'm exploring the fascinating world of apparitions, ghosts, spirits, consciousness and life after death.

I've been reading Alchemy and Mysticism by Alexander Roob, and its exploration of apparitions sent me down one of my favourite rabbit holes. Human beings have reported seeing mysterious figures, deceased loved ones, religious apparitions and unexplained presences for centuries.

But what are we actually experiencing?

Could an apparition be evidence that consciousness continues after death? Could grief and memory create an incredibly convincing experience? Could the brain itself generate the sensation that another person is present? And what about crisis apparitions, when someone apparently sees or senses a person around the time of their death, sometimes before they even know that person has died?

I'm looking at this from both sides. We'll explore spirituality and mediumship, but also psychology, neuroscience, perception, bereavement experiences and the fascinating ways our brains interpret the world around us.

As a trans-physical medium, I've had experiences of my own, including sensing loved ones and animals who have passed. But I'm not here to tell you what to believe.

Maybe it's spirit. Maybe it's the mind. Maybe it's grief. Maybe it's something happening neurologically. Or perhaps consciousness is far stranger than we currently understand.

I want you to make up your own mind.

It’s just been Mother’s Day here in the UK, and it got me thinking about women… about the way we move through the world, and how much we actually hold.

I see so many women who are incredibly capable, intuitive, and multi-layered in the way they think and feel… and yet they don’t always recognise it in themselves.

In this episode, I explore that.

I go back in time to when feminine intelligence wasn’t something separate or questioned. Women were leaders, healers, decision makers, deeply connected to cycles, to people, and to what was coming next. That way of thinking hasn’t disappeared… it’s just become quieter, less visible, and often unacknowledged.

Because now, that same intelligence shows up in everyday life.

In running homes, raising children, managing emotions, solving problems, holding everything together… often all at once. And we call that normal.

But when you really look at it, it’s anything but.

I also talk about how women naturally integrate logic and intuition, left brain and right brain, and how that allows us to navigate life in a way that is far more complex than we often give ourselves credit for.

And I think something is shifting.

More women are starting to realise that what they’ve been told is “too much” might actually be their strength.

There’s a meditation in this episode as well… a chance to pause and reconnect with that deeper sense of knowing and capability that has always been there.

So maybe this isn’t about something new emerging.

Maybe it’s about finally recognising what never left.
