Mark Dencker sat down with founder of AR startup and Techstar alumni Hololink, to talk about where the internet is heading with web apps, mobile apps and soon AR apps that will arguably blow our minds!

What really moves the needle? Basic science is what fundamentally changes the world. Everything else is just people tweaking and sub-optimizing pre-existing technologies that science has already made available.

We connect more and more online, and as a result we use our phones, watches, laptops or whatever device to access online media more and more. All these devices are just an inconvenience, hence we are likely to skip the middle-man and simply connect our brains to the internet for direct communication.

The general fear of AI creating mass unemployment might be exaggerated, as AI is proving to replace jobs that we as humans don't want in the first place.

When we start seeing AI that acts and thinks like us humans, the question remains - will there be anything for us humans to do?

The question must be asked. By developing general AI that thinks like the human brain, are we replacing ourselves and winning the ultimate Darwin award!?
