The CDL isn't ready to give up their spot in the esports news cycle just yet. Between a really fun Champs that's been basically forgotten already, RosterMania, the trickle of info for MW22 and whatever the heck is going on with NYSL, CoD is pulling an NFL. LCS Playoffs are here and same as always there's MAYBE three teams that have a real chance to win. Tatis screwed up, big time. NFL pre-season games and college pre-season polls both mean next to nothing but there's still some stuff worth talking about.

The NFL drops the ball on another punishment, are we really surprised at this point? CDL Champs 2022 is just a few days away and I think my biases will, for once, be correct. The MLB Trade Deadline was a wild one, but not as wild as it could've been (warning, if you like Buster Olney as a reporter maybe skip this segment). The season finale of Players was SO GOOD and I need a new season ASAP.

With the general lack of sports content and esports I'm plugged into going on right now this show is a little different. The Velly situation did happen, I'm not touching that with a 10' pole but hopefully the CDL gets someone else in that spot. DC Dropped the ball at SDCC BIG TIME, DnD Honor Among Thieves looks like it might not suck and Marvel just reminded everyone why they're still the kings. So some WWE stuff happened that should've happened a few years ago. Players episode 9 was even more intense than episode 7 was and I can only imagine what the maniacs responsible for this show will do in the finale.

The CDL's fourth and final regular season Major of the year was by far its best (hey just like last year) but the storylines were better than they've been at a CoD event since the game still had jetpacks. Episode 8 of Players was SO good, probably my favorite of the entire season so far, even if I was a little jealous that this fictional LCS had their 2021 Summer Finals in Philly. Other Stuff: good guy devs do a cool charity crossover, an absolutely insane 20k Halo challenge, the Orioles are good again I LOVE IT and I'm sorry Nationals fans you don't deserve that.

The last weekend of Qualifiers continued the trend of making ZERO sense. Thank God there's no more online play and hopefully it's gone for good because it was ridiculous this weekend, no BO5 should take four hours. This episode of Players was an emotional GUT PUNCH, I should've seen it coming knowing who made this show but I didn't and paid the price with my emotions. NHL Free Agency has started and I'm mostly just angry at the Flyers.

The CDL doesn't make any sense except for Paris still sucking and based on former players now confirming their very obvious refusal to spend money they will continue to suck even after moving to Vegas next season. UCLA and USC are joining the B1G, that won't be a total disaster at all. Players on Paramount+ is actually really good, I know I was surprised too. Baker Mayfield is now a Panther. Pioneers got screwed by the HCS.

CDL Major III was awesome, shout out to Ultra and the city of Toronto for putting on an awesome event and shout out to to Atlanta Faze for choking another Major. The Colorado Avalanche look totally unbeatable and the Lightning made it a series with the Rangers after remembering they're two time defending Stanley Cup champions. The Houston Texans are in DEEP trouble now. Call of Duty Modern Warfare II reveal week.

The CDL Toronto Major is here and it's not entirely what I expected when qualifiers started three weeks ago. The NHL Conference Finals are going to be exact opposite versions of good hockey. The NBA Finals are the worst timeline in a pretty boring playoff. I explain what's coming soon now that I'm full time content creation again (at least for now).

Call of Duty MWII gets its first "teaser" and a release date, I just hope it's good. The CDL picture is a little more clear than it was last week with one more week until Major 3. The Lightning are gonna win the Cup again aren't they? Well at least it'll be a fun series no matter who comes out of the West. The good Halo stuff: new event and the cosmetics that come with it look fun. HCS made some much needed improvements to the comp map/mode pool. The bad Halo stuff: The Halo season finale was Game of Thrones level bad.

The NBA Conference Finals are here and a look and the Suns' epic level choke causes a look at what could've been if Chris Paul ended up getting traded to the Lakers. The CDL makes absolutely no sense at the moment, yes even less than normal. Crim and Clay need to settle this beef somehow because there's ZERO chance it's actually over. The Maple Leafs may never win a playoff series again and the Penguins really need to stop complaining every time they lose.
