Gage Madrid (@gagefaceplant) joins to share his experiences working as a firefighter in the Oregon Wildlands. After firefighting, Gage joined forces with Gilson Snowboards to create "The Riptorch" hybrid camber snowboard* - a Limited Edition board designed to recognize the incredible efforts made by Wildland Firefighters who sacrifice every comfort to protect our planet. Finally, if all that was not exciting enough, Gage facilitates Gilson's winter ride days by traveling to ski resorts around the country and introducing the communities to Gilson's boards and skis. Check out GilsonSnow.com to buy your own Riptorch board and stay tuned for this winter's Ride Day Tour.
*The Riptorch Snowboard was proudly released in conjunction with the Wildland Firefighter Foundation and $50 from every snowboard will be donated to the WFF - whose main focus is to help the families of firefighters killed in the line of duty and to assist injured firefighters and their families. The Wildland Firefighter Foundation’s main focus is to help the families of firefighters killed in the line of duty and to assist injured firefighters and their families. We honor and acknowledge the past, present and future members of the wildland firefighting community and partner with private and interagency organizations to bring recognition to wildland firefighters.
