God has many names, each one revealing a different aspect of His nature. One of the most inspiring names of God is Jehovah-Nissi, which means "The Lord Our Banner." This name is mentioned in the Bible in Exodus 17:15, where Moses built an altar and called it Jehovah-Nissi after the Israelites had defeated the Amalekites in battle. As Christians, we often hear the name Jehovah-Jireh mentioned in songs and sermons. But do we truly understand the significance of this name and what it means for our lives? As Christians, we believe in the resurrection of the dead and the life eternal. In 1 Corinthians 15-16, Paul provides teachings on the resurrection that is both comforting and empowering for believers. In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul explains that the resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of our hope in the resurrection. As Christians, it can be so easy to forget the incredible freedom we have been granted in Christ. We must always remember that what He has done for us isn't meant just for our benefit alone - it's a gift intended to be shared with others too. All too often we take advantage of this liberty and find ourselves using it as a source of disharmony or stumbling block to one of God's precious children; an offense that grieves His heart.
