This was an interesting discussion around the topic of mentality. In the current "hustle" culture, the word mentality is used a lot to justify poor mental health and wellbeing. This episode aims to help you understand where the line is drawn between the two. I discuss; What is a mentality?, what does a good mentality look like? What behaviours can endanger your positive mentality, times we cross the line into negative wellbeing, and much more.

I'm joined by health and lifestyle content creator and online PT Peadar Dee. Peadar tells his story, beginning with his struggle with substances like drugs and alcohol. From "rock bottom", Peadar worked his way up to becoming sober, and further, to creating a TikTok and Instagram page where he posts, health, lifestyle and fitness content with the aim to use his experiences to help those dealing with similar situations. He has amassed over thirty thousand followers across both platforms. We discuss all of the above, as well as discussing the mental health situation in Northern Ireland and University students all over the world, the idea of having "escapes" and other short term pleasure instead of dealing with problems and much more.

I'm Joined by Taylor Davidson. After playing Football at elite levels across Europe and in the USA, Taylor refined and grew his knowledge about many different unorthodox methods of training and lifestyle such as maintaining your connection with  your Fascia, recanting "Dead" foods and incorporating healthy light as a method of enhancing ones circadian rhythm. Throughout or conversation, we discuss all of these above topics in detail, as well as the danger of the gym to elite athletes, the "Grinder" vs the "Natural" and the ideal lifestyle to enhance your body and your mind to conquer everything.

This episode is extremely personal to me, as it tells the story of my life to this point, the story of experiencing and dealing with trauma, the story of my struggles with exercise addiction, the story of my poor mental health and its manifestations. However, this isn't a  sob story. Within the episode, I discuss everything I have learned throughout this journey, in hopes that you can use this information to help yourself, or someone you know. 

The underlying message in this episode is that, without talking to someone about your struggles, nothing else matters. It is the foundation of healing. If you feel stuck or low, do not hesitate to talk to someone you trust.
