She has helped over 900 mothers deliver their babies and provided guidance to other healthcare professionals on how to eliminate bias. Dr. J talks about the current state of healthcare bias and provides insight into how black women can understand their options in their birth plans. She also discusses how to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals such as OBGYNs, Nurses, Midwives, and Doulas and how to ask the right questions that fit a mother's needs.
