Dashiell Bark-Huss is an all around bio-hacker, meaning she is always conducting life tests and experiments on herself to see how we can optimize our day-to-day human performance. She is an avid practitioner of lucid dreaming where in college and beyond she was able (through rigorous months of training) to get herself to having 3 lucid dreams PER NIGHT. Meaning 3 times a night she was able to catch herself in her dreams and dream with the full awareness that she’s in a dream, able to totally control everything. This was able to help her do things like stick to diets cause she could eat whatever she wants. Lucid dreaming did not affect the quality of her sleep.

Rentervention is a joint project of the Lawyers' Committee for Better Housing, Illinois Legal Aid Online, and the Lawyers Trust Fund of Illinois. It is a natural language processing chatbot that helps people who normally would have had to go through a confusing FAQ page or search for legal assistance online “in the dark”. Renny (the chat bot) helps people find the specific legal help they need just after a few questions.

I discussed with two representatives Hannah and Conor on how we can improve renter’s ability to get the legal support they need when they need it, flaws and room for improvement in our legal system in general that we can start to address, and so much more.
