Erika and I both left the West Coast for Texas. Erika made the trek about twenty years ago and I've lived here for about thirteen. We both noticed lots of differences between Texas and our home states, and this is what our first episode of the year is all about!

Lots has changed since season 1 of the May December Podcast. I call it season one, but in reality one thing lead to another and we haven't had the motivation, discipline...whatever excuse you want to insert to record and post a podcast. Recording these podcasts is something Erika and I talk about all the time. We'll be having a funny conversation or catch ourselves reminiscing and think, "we gotta do another podcast episode!"

Once we decided to move into an RV full time we really wanted to commit to putting out more consistent episodes. It'll be a hoot to listen to these recordings again some day, if not for us, for our kids and grandkids. I'm pretty sure we'll be known as the "crazy grandparents," at some point in our lives.

The audio is pretty rough in this episode. Initially we tried the microphone we used in season one, a Blue Yeti that I actually like just fine, however there's not a lot of space to record in an RV, so we reserved the office space at the resort we now live at. Unfortunately, it's a very echo-y office space, and the Yeti was really rough. I have two lapel microphones that I use for social media videos, so in this episode that's what you're hearing. I tried everything I could think of to get it to even out, even AI, but this is as good as it got. We'll work on that!
