Since 1960, “The Andy Griffith Show” has appeared on televisions across the country and in North Carolina nonstop. It has been a cultural phenomenon with an incredible lasting impact.  But why, and will it continue?  

A new documentary examines those questions and more, especially in light of questions today on whether a Mayberry approach would work to convince people to take the COVID-19 vaccine. 

On this week’s episode of “Tying It Together With Tim Boyum,” Tim is joined by Chris Hudson, director of “The Mayberry Effect,” and historian Dr. Gary Freeze for a fun, educational and perhaps controversial look at the past, present and future impact of “The Andy Griffith Show.”
