The CLEVELAND BROWNS (12-5) and LOS ANGELES RAMS (11-6) both earned victories on Super Wild Card Weekend as the No. 6 seeds in their respective conferences. In 2019, both the MINNESOTA VIKINGS and TENNESSEE TITANS won on Wild Card Weekend as the No. 6 seeds while both the INDIANAPOLIS COLTS and PHILADELPHIA EAGLES advanced to the Divisional round of the playoffs as No. 6 seeds in in 2018. 

In both conferences, the No. 5 [BALTIMORE RAVENS (12-5) and TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (12-5)] and No. 6 seeds (Cleveland and Los Angeles Rams) are all still alive in the postseason. With victories by Baltimore and Cleveland in the AFC or Tampa Bay and Los Angeles in the NFC, it would mark the first conference Championship game featuring a No. 5 and No. 6 seed since 1990.

The NFL’s playoff table is ready. Get ready for a six-course meal.

The addition of a third Wild Card team in each conference this season and the subsequent expansion of the playoffs has resulted in a Super Wild Card Weekend of NFL action. For the first time ever, there will be three games on Saturday, January 9, and three games on Sunday, January 10, to be played at 1:05 p.m., 4:40 p.m., and 8:15 p.m. ET on each day. ​

Five teams in the AFC are battling for the conference’s final four playoff berths.

The BALTIMORE RAVENS (10-5) with a win at Cincinnati (4-10-1) on Sunday (1:00 PM ET, CBS) will nail down their third consecutive trip to the playoffs.

The CLEVELAND BROWNS (10-5) with a home victory over Pittsburgh (12-3) on Sunday (1:00 PM ET, CBS) will have their first playoff berth since 2002.

The MIAMI DOLPHINS (10-5) with a win at Buffalo (12-3) on Sunday (1:00 PM ET, CBS) will clinch a playoff berth for the first time since 2016.

The TENNESSEE TITANS (10-5) with a win at Houston (4-11) on Sunday (4:25 PM ET, CBS) will cement their first division title since 2008.

Six teams in the NFC are battling for the conference’s final three playoff berths.

When the ARIZONA CARDINALS (8-7) travel to meet the LOS ANGELES RAMS (9-6) on Sunday (4:25 PM ET, CBS), the winning team will be rewarded with a Wild Card berth.

The CHICAGO BEARS (8-7) can return to the playoffs with a home win over Green Bay (12-3) on Sunday (4:25 PM ET, FOX).

The WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM (6-9) needs a win at Philadelphia (4-10-1) on Sunday Night Football (8:20 PM ET, NBC) to clinch its first playoff berth and division title since 2015.

When the DALLAS COWBOYS (6-9) and NEW YORK GIANTS (5-10) meet at MetLife Stadium on Sunday (1:00 PM ET, FOX), the winning team will keep its playoff hopes alive. The Cowboys-Giants winner would need a Washington loss Sunday night to clinch the NFC East and the No. 4 seed in the NFC playoffs.

The NFL kicks off its annual schedule of Saturday games this week when the BUFFALO BILLS (10-3) travel to play the DENVER BRONCOS (5-8) at Empower Field at Mile High (4:30 PM ET, NFLN). In Game 2 of the doubleheader, the CAROLINA PANTHERS (4-9) are at the GREEN BAY PACKERS (10-3), who clinched the NFC North title last week, on Saturday night (8:15 PM ET, NFLN).

The KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (12-1), who lead the league with 429.2 total yards per game and rank second with 31.0 points per game, square off against the NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (10-3) on Sunday (4:25 PM ET, CBS).

The NFL playoff picture continues to develop in the AFC and NFC.  Over in the AFC,  the Ravens and Raiders have high hopes of getting in the playoffs, the same in the NFC , the Bears and Vikings still have a chance to get in. Week 15 of the NFL will make things interesting as we get closer to the final playoff picture.

 In a battle of 8-3 teams in the AFC, the CLEVELAND BROWNS travel to meet the TENNESSEE TITANS on Sunday (1:00 PM ET, CBS). The Browns are off to their best start since they were also 8-3 in 1994, while the Titans have their best record through 11 games since they were 10-1 in 2008.

 The KANSAS CITY CHIEFS take on the DENVER BRONCOS on Sunday Night Football at Arrowhead Stadium (8:20 PM ET, NBC). The Chiefs have won 19 of their last 20 games, including the postseason.

Two of the league’s hottest teams meet at Mercedes-Benz Stadium when the ATLANTA FALCONS host the NEW ORLEANS SAINTS on Sunday (1:00 PM ET, FOX). New Orleans has won eight straight games while the Falcons have won four of their last six under coach RAHEEM MORRIS.

With just a few weeks remaining in the 2020 NFL season, the NFC West is still on pace to have at least three teams make the postseason if not four. Depending on how things develop in the NFC North , the San Francisco 49ers have an outside chance of getting in.  The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking pretty good at 11-0, but the Ravens and Browns are still trying to get in the AFC playoffs, currently the Browns are the 5th seed in the AFC playoff picture.

The GREEN BAY PACKERS (7-2), one of two NFC teams with seven wins this season, are at the AFC South-leading INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (6-3) on Sunday (4:25 PM ET, FOX).

The KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (8-1) are at the LAS VEGAS RAIDERS (6-3) on Sunday Night Football (8:20 PM ET, NBC). Over their last 18 games, including postseason, the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs have one loss: Earlier this season at home to the Raiders, in Week 5.

The BALTIMORE RAVENS (6-3) host the TENNESSEE TITANS (6-3) on Sunday (1:00 PM ET, CBS), pairing two of the top three rushing offenses in the AFC in a rematch of a 2019 AFC Divisional playoff game.

And, in a battle of two of the NFL’s top defenses, the LOS ANGELES RAMS (6-3) travel to play the TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (6-3) on Monday Night Football (8:15 PM ET, ESPN).

Through 10 weeks of NFL football, things are starting to shape up in some NFL divisions. The AFC is probably the most competitive divisions this year, thanks to the Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders and the Indianapolis Colts, over in the NFC, Seattle, Arizona and Los Angeles could all make the playoffs from the NFC West.
