We discuss menopause and HRT with Women’s Health expert Dr Deirdre Lundy. Deirdre is Coordinator for sexual and reproductive education courses for ICGP, runs Women’s Health Clinics in the Dublin maternity hospitals, and is a sessional doctor in practice in Bray, Co. Wicklow.
In today’s show we introduce the topic and touch on why HRT has become such a contentious issue for doctors and patients. We’ll also review the physiology of menopause, how it is diagnosed, and when to order blood tests.
