What does the word M.O.M. mean to you? Does it spark feelings and emotions of joy, love, support, or some other feelings that most of us are afraid to talk about? When I hear that word, I think of all the matriarchs in my family: my mother, grandmothers, aunts and even older and younger cousins.
I'd like to think that the term M.O.M. stands for Mind Over Matter because all of the women in my life had to overcome societal, patriarchal and even familial stereotypical expectations to be counted and heard as key contributors to all of our lives.
In today's episode we had a special guest co-host, our resident den mother our pod-sister, Ms. Mika Joi from the #truthmoment podcast, stop in and talk #truthmoments about what it is to be a mother of a young man in today's society.
