John, Sam and Jared are back with plenty to say. First they cover the enjoyable yet not essential Breaking Bad movie. Then Jared shares his take on Joker before the whole crew sounds off on Star Wars and terrible books we read in school.

John, Brandon, Sam, Jared, and newcomer Mathis all chime in on the other five best picture nominees. The guys then comment on how disappointing this year's field turned out to be, and then they eventually make a few reluctant predictions.

Later, they all catch up on movies they've watched lately, and Jared talks about his latest movie-watching milestone.

First John and Jared chat about 'First Reformed' and 'Ant-man and the Wasp,' two movies that they both enjoyed. Next, the guys tackle the topic of movie theater etiquette. They discuss what's acceptable, what's not and swap a couple horror stories. Then they provide their takes on what's wrong with modern trailers and how to fix them. And of course, they close with quick comments on a couple other movies they've seen lately.

The fervent foursome come in hot with differing views on Lady Bird, which is apparently not as universally beloved as some may think. Then the guys make their awards predictions for the upcoming Oscars.

The guys break down The Shape of Water in rich, generous detail, much the way that director Guillermo Del Toro tells this story. It's an unlikely but still authentic and endearing romance. Later the guys chat about a few overlooked movies from 2017.

The guys begin the show with a discussion on Call Me by Your Name that includes the questions: what does the title mean? What did the flies mean? And what are fun things you can do with fruit? Next is Darkest Hour talk, which leads them to make the distinction between doing a great impression and actually embodying a character. They also play the classic game, "fat or fat suit?" And Brandon explains what made this a Milk Dud movie.
