Mercy Ships offers free surgical care in countries struggling to care for their own people. We also increase their ability to do that by offering training opportunities.

You know, showing mercy to others can be very simple. It’s all about being the hands and the feet of Jesus to meet needs.

In 1990 the Mercy Ship Anastasis was in Gdansk, Poland, on a goodwill tour. Many Polish people came onboard for a visit.

Tony Carlson is a police officer in Tallahassee, Florida.  He saw a man struggling to shave outside a gas station. The man was really excited! He had a chance to get a job at a restaurant if he shaved his beard.

This is a special tribute to a special lady—Marie Thylander Perez.  Marie was a follower of Jesus with a heart for serving others. 

The patient was wearing a special leg brace. Tracey, the physical therapist, needed to adjust it, but the mechanism was jammed—nothing could budge it. 

Mercy Ships depends on donors – individuals and corporations. It takes a great deal of money, supplies, and equipment to operate a hospital ship in an African country.

Amy Carmichael was born in 1867 in Ireland. At the age of 27, she went to India as a missionary and spent 55 years rescuing girls, especially temple children. 

Serving onboard our hospital ship often changes the volunteer.
