The Messenger Movement: Faith, Leadership and Kindgom Business

Today, I had the pleasure of talking to the incomparable Tim Storey. He is going to be one of our speakers at November’s Grow for God Conference and I am so honored he gave us this time for the podcast and in November.

We talked about his faith, how Jesus changed his life, and how God fits into The Miracle Mentality.  He has live coached over 300 entertainers and says this is his calling from God to speak into others who may be going down the wrong path and redirecting them to one that is more fulfilling and satisfying inside.

I’m going to help you do a quick branding audit of your business. So often we think that brand is just about color palette or perhaps a logo, but that’s only one element of your brand. That’s just the visual identity of who you are, but even the visual identity you’ve got to get right. You’ve got to get it succinct.

As I always say it is a becoming process. You evolve with your brand, right? At the end of the day, you’re still going back to the bare bones, you’re still going back to the basics, and even in the evolution, the basics are so critical.

Today we’re going to talk about Christian branding through the lens of God and through the lens of the Bible. Enjoy!

This interview had a special moment - like right after the interview and before he jumped off - before we go on to do the big things that God’s calling us to, which is exactly what David Meltzer does. I got to just bless him for just a moment and give him a seed for the massive seed that he planted with today’s conversation.

It’s not about all of the massive conglomerate organizations that he’s developed. It’s not about the money. The evaluation exchange comes because of who he is - because of the identity factor, because of how he shows up to teach and educate and train and give every second of every day. I’ve never interacted with this human without feeling like a breath of fresh air blew through my life.

He has some amazing deposits for you today. Enjoy.

About David:

David Meltzer is the Co-Founder of Sports 1 Marketing and formerly served as CEO of the renowned Leigh (“Lee”) Steinberg Sports & Entertainment agency, which was the inspiration for the movie Jerry Maguire. David has been recognized by Variety Magazine as their Sports Humanitarian of the Year and awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. He is also the Executive Producer of the Bloomberg and Amazon Prime television series 2 Minute Drill and Office Hours. His life’s mission is to empower OVER 1 BILLION people to be happy! This simple yet powerful mission has led him on an incredible journey to provide one thing…VALUE. In all his content, and communication that’s exactly what you’ll receive. As part of that mission, for the past 20 years, he’s been providing free weekly trainings to empower others to empower others to be happy.

The FIT in Faith Podcast is blowing my mind with the conversations I have been having with other entrepreneurs. It’s because of the connections and because of people like TM Hyman, today’s guest, who is truly bringing power and perspective in a way you’ve probably never seen, tasted ,or heard unless you’ve been alongside the one and only Holy Spirit.

We talk about:

- the character traits of God

Michelle Lappin is coming back to The FIT in Faith Podcast in a different seat - a coaching seat, a community seat, a partner seat. She’s someone who has been with me on my journey during my evolution as a coach, and has been part of the evolution in this business since day one. She really was one of the first podcasts ever, so you’ll definitely have to go back and learn from her in episode 8 with Michelle Lappin.

Since that recording three years ago, she’s gotten her doctorate. It has been such an honor standing alongside and watching her emerge from her first days and interaction with me, which she talks about here, where she never thought she’d be an entrepreneur to now being a thriving entrepreneur. Who is also on the cusp and looking towards the future of shifting out of her full-time career, to be able to do this all the time.

She’s amazing. She’s a wealth coach, a financial guru, and her story connects so much to what she does, which is why I say yes to clients who parallel their testimony, their pain, their passion to their purpose. This is Dr. Michelle Marie Lappin. She’s going to give you the inside scoop on what it was like to coach with me.

Spending quiet time with God every morning is really my secret sauce. That, in addition, to taking care of my physical body by exercising is what gives me my energy and zest for living. If you didn’t know, I recently started doing a Peloton and Preach time when I am home and able to be on my Peloton. This is a time I share what God is telling me and talking to me about in my quiet time and it has been amazing.

From that time, came this:
Desire - Hope - Grit vs. the I Am Plan of Intention - Integrity - Interaction

Enjoy and let me know what you think about it.

When I just revel in the grace and the mercy and the goodness and the greatness of our God in conversations that are taking place without a true expectation of where it’s going to go. Sure, there might be some constructs to how we build the podcast or the way the interview works, but ultimately we just steward His Spirit. We just want to have the mic and our mouth yield to what He wants from it, and so today you are going to hear from a prophet. A prophet is a man of God, somebody who can hear from the Lord and can speak wisdom and truth into your life, and Jonathan Pettitt actually teaches us how to practice.

I’m calling you out - yes, you who is listening right now. You are worthy. You are redeemed. You are anointed. You are called by the grace of God to stand in the truth.

I love you really, really, truly I do. We both do. Today’s guest is a lover of humanity - every color, shape, size, background, belief system, any, and all of the above. Marcus Ellis truly just wants to display the love of the Father to you, even if you’re a stranger. He is a coach, a speaker, and a rock star - what a cool combination.

I am so honored to call him a friend. You guys are going to dive into the depths of his story, and you’re going to see yourself in his story. You’re going to see it in the hardship. You’re going to see it in his placement. You’re going to see it in the religious spirit that can sometimes keep you bound into a place of discomfort or that you can’t do this calling on your life because it’s not associated to God. Well, who is to say when God releases you? Who can cast blame or shift focus? God has already created your plan, path, unique gift, and talents. He’s opening doors for you to step into territories that maybe the ”church” isn’t inviting.

You will love Marcus, and you will want to tune into his morning show at 5:30 in the morning, Eastern standard time. He’s out running and teaching and preaching, and he also has a podcast.

About Marcus:
As a devout man of Christ, a dedicated husband and Father of five beautiful children, and a performer called to use the gift of his voice for more than music, Marcus’ life has been transformed by fully surrendering to God. Performing professionally as a lead vocalist in Rock and Funk bands across the southeast for over 25 years, Marcus is now the lead vocalist for White Tie Rock Ensemble, a world-renowned Classic Rock tribute band. In the current late stages of his singing career, he prayed to heal his voice and received a download from God in the form of a calling. The calling is to remain on the big stage and use his voice, not only to sing but to speak and to ease the world’s suffering by becoming a Spreader of Love. His mission is to share God’s splendor through a simple question and answer, ”Hey! Guess What? I Love You”, one random stranger at a time. He prays to impact others by simply being a conduit of God’s grace and love.
