You are welcome to today's podcast brought to you by the Messenjah. I am Moses Oladimeji and I am your host on this platform. This is a platform dedicated to dispelling false beliefs and establishing the truth from the Word of God.
Today, we shall be concluding our series: "THE ALL-ROUND PROMISES OF GOD TO ME". Our anchor Scripture remains Isaiah 58:11
"And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not."
In this concluding session, we shall consider the topic "Living Spring: How God’s Word Quenches Our Thirst and Nourishes Our Soul" In today's episode We'll look at the concluding part of Isaiah 58:11 'and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not."
What a promise we have received from God. And thou shalt be like a watered garden. The word thou there referred to you, I mean you in person, you as a child of God. Apostle Peter said in Acts 2:39
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
If the promise is unto you, then your children are beneficiary of this divine grace. Hallelujah! What a joy we have! Glory to God! Now I will say the promise is unto me, I have to personalize it, I'll memorize it, I'll amplify it until I begin to exemplify it.
And thou shalt be like a watered garden. First we need to examine the characteristics of a watered garden
The characteristics of a watered garden include:
Health and vitality - just as a garden that is well-watered is healthy and full of vitality, so too will our lives be if we are faithful to God's word. We will have strength, energy, and a sense of purpose that comes from knowing that we are doing His will.
Productivity - a watered garden is productive, producing abundant fruit and vegetables. In the same way, when we follow God's path, we will be productive, using our talents and abilities to bring glory to Him and to bless others.
Beauty - a watered garden is beautiful, with an array of colors and textures that delight the eye. Similarly, when we live our lives in accordance with God's plan, we will radiate a beauty that comes from within, reflecting His love and grace to those around us.
Resilience - a watered garden is resilient, able to withstand drought and other challenges. In the same way, when we are firmly rooted in our faith and trust in God, we will be able to weather life's storms and emerge stronger and more resilient than ever before.
Abundance - a watered garden is abundant, providing an abundance of food and sustenance for those who tend it. Similarly, when we follow God's path, we will be blessed with an abundance of blessings, both material and spiritual, that will sustain us and bring us joy.
Hallelujah!
We are also likened to a spring of water that never runs dry.
Let's look at what spring water is, its component and how it compares to other sources of water. This will give us better understanding about the promise God gave to us.
In my research I found out that A "spring of water is a natural source of water that flows up from the ground, usually from an underground aquifer, and creates a small stream or pool on the surface. It is a reliable source of fresh, clean water that can be used for drinking, washing, and irrigation. In further study, I tried to compare the spring water to other source of water in terms purity, and content, I found out that spring water is the purest form of water. This is because spring water is sourced from underground, away from pollutants and contaminants, and is naturally filtered through layers of rock and soil. Stream and river water can be pure if they flow through areas with little human activity or pollution, but can also be contaminated by chemicals, bacteria, and other pollutants. Similarly, sea water is not considered pure due to its high
