Anti-Asian Hate has been ever prevalent during the pandemic. This needs to stop. As an Asian, Filipina myself, I want to speak out and start a conversation. We cannot stay silent anymore.
I would like to thank the 4 wonderful ladies for adding perspective to the issue at hand.

With gym restrictions being lifted in Alberta the confusion continues... So low-intensity group classes and and unsupervised open gym is permitted. the confusion lies within what is considered low-intensity? So I attempt to clear it up with this podcast.

It's pretty easy for us to practice reps of a certain exercise to improve our Physical health which then benefits our mind, body, and soul. But what if I told you your brain needs to practice reps to strengthen as well. And that "junk" can cause it to get weaker. Let's think of the brain as a muscle and go from there.

DISCLAIMER: I have been diagnosed with clinical depression and anxiety, so when Chantelle and I discuss her experiences with it, I laugh a little because the way I personally cope is through humour. We talk about how I don't mean to not take it seriously by laughing, it's just an automatic coping mechanism. I respect how Chantelle felt and the experience she had facing struggles of depression and anxiety when coming back home.
My guest is Tylor Henry. He has the most incredible job as a Strength Coach. Currently, he works at the University of West Florida as a Graduate Assistant/GA.
We went to school together at the University of Alberta and he took Kinesiology as well. Not only was he in school full-time, but he used to play for the BEARS football team too. After graduating he played for the CFL and now he’s in America.
The world of Strength and Conditioning is a competitive field to get into. Not only is it difficult here in Canada, but the journey towards a Graduate Assistant (GA) is a completely different process. Learn how to get your foot in the door.
Feel free to reach out to Tylor if you want further information
