God has given you Permission and a Commission to Work!

Listen as Jonathan Nowlen interviews young professional Matt brown and hear an authentic discussion on a marketplace mission effort. Matt is an entrepreneur! He grew up on the mission field in China and both he and his wife are successful medical professionals. Jonathan and Matt discuss the vision and process of seeing a water distribution company established in Uganda that is replicable, self sustaining and holistic. Vision is easy but actualizing a successful Kingdom enterprise takes the power of the Holy Spirit and a lot of work! You will hear about the redemptive impact that theology of work plays in Matt's company called Lilies in the Field. The dignity and mission of vocation will be recovered through this company. You will be encouraged that even in a difficult season in spiritual history the Kingdom of God is moving forward!

Broken Edges Missiology - Go Therefore and make Pickles of the Nations!

In this episode we are going to talk today about making pickles! Did you know that Jesus actually commands us to make pickles in the great commission? Lets dive in and explore what it means to make pickles of all the nations …. And I would say of your metron!

Your role as a metron manager is to work to permanently submerge everyone and everything that is within your sphere of responsibility.

People need pickled, systems need pickled, processes and practices need pickled, world views need pickled, industries need pickled, governments need pickled and nations need pickled! It they are not pickled they will not be preserved.

Preservation is transformation!

Pickles are not able to revert back to an unpickled state of being.

Caterpillers who are transformed into butterflies do not deconstruct back into caterpillars.

God has given you Permission and a Commission to Work!

This podcast covers the foundational topic of the Kingdom of God in Broken Edges Missiology.

Listen as Jonathan Nowlen interviews pastor Kevin Rusack from New Heights Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Kevin has spent 10 years in ministry leadership with the local church and another 20 years serving as a leader in multiple mission organizations. Kevin is passionate about the Kingdom of God and in this interview he lays out a compelling Biblical perspective regarding the two 'book ends' of the Bible.

Kevin say's "We need a renewed sense of purpose and hope. So many people in our world are asking the questions, “Why am I here? What is the meaning of my life? Is there anything higher than myself to live for? What we usually hear when people tell the Big story known as the Gospel – is that they often start with Gen. 3 with the Fall of Man and they end in Rev. 20 with the Lake of fire! If you don’t have the right starting place and ending place, there’s confusion in the middle and that is where we find ourselves today…"

Join us as we explore the scripture to find out what we as believers and Metron Managers are actually aiming at!
