Bittersweet is the word here. The Mets slayed Sandy Alcantara on Friday night behind Francisco Lindor's heroics and Buck Showalter’s incredibly thorough knowledge of the rule book. Then Pete Alonso and Chris Bassitt carried us to a win on Saturday, but the possible sweep faded away on Sunday despite David Peterson continuing his hot streak and Brandon Nimmo continuing to play incredible baseball. Good series, but bittersweet. Oh, and Luis Guillorme is a freak and Edwin Díaz threw a baseball 103 (102.6) mph. Let's get the Astros.
