Title: Beat L.A.: Phillies win series against “unbeatable” Dodgers
Somebody asked J.T. Realmuto on Friday about playing the Dodgers and he joked that he heard they were “unbeatable.”
Well, the Phillies handed L.A. its first two losses of the season in a series win at Citizens Bank Park. Does it mean anything in the long run? No, but it showed skeptics that the Phillies can not only hang with anybody, but they can beat anybody. We talk about the series against the Dodgers, including Sunday’s 8-7 comeback victory. We talk about the good things like Nick Castellanos’ grand slam, José Alvarado’s latest dominant effort and more. But we also talk about a big concern in Jordan Romano.
This week’s episode is brought to you by Citizens! From making a plan to reaching your goals, make sense of your money with Citizens – official bank of the Phillies.
It’s also “Best Week” by Manco & Manco Pizza! Manco’s is the Best of the Best, and every week throughout the season we pick our best Phillies players, performances and moments of the week. We’ve got Alvarado, Edmundo Sosa and J.T. Realmuto for different reasons.
