This episode of the Mic is Ahn brings us a baseball story.....but not your typical baseball story.  Nick Krauth is a pitcher in the Texas Rangers organization.  But....his path to get to that point has been interesting to say the least.  Nick is currently playing for his 5th team in the last 5 years....which is not the norm at all.  In this interview, Nick tells his story....from a not heavily recruited high school player...to numerous schools....through Covid (Which plays a part), eventually to being signed by a major league team.  We talk about life in the minor leagues....travel and living conditions...and everything else.  Nick is a great example of someone pushing themselves to be better than the day before....and even though he's still relatively young...he's grown through his travels....as you will hear.  Of course, at the end we talk about Nick's years in the Northgate Physical Education program.....but the whole episode is worth your time.  So, even if baseball isn't your thing....this episode will be.  The Mic is Ahn.  Tell your friends.....and family...and rate and review when you can!

The college girls, Lexi and Paige return for their second visit on the podcast.  For those who didn't hear their first visit back in episode 12, we are following their college experience one year at a time.  Paige and Lexi are very close friends who graduated during the beginning of the pandemic, and then went off to schools to start their college lives in this weird time.  Now it's year 2....and we talk to them both about changes and differences between their freshman and sophomore years.  We cover living conditions, masks, classes, majors, the Greek life, the party life, weekends, and how they've changed the most in the past year.  Whether you haven't yet been to college, are currently enrolled, or have been out for years....this is a look to what is actually going on right now.  As you'll hear, Paige and Lexi are both open and honest about everything they've gone through...and they do a great job explaining all of the topics!

In this episode, Dave Gomez returns to the podcast to talk about his life as a resource officer.  We hit all topics that need to be talked about with parents, youth...and anyone.....things that are affecting lives in 2022.  Dave is one of my favorite people in this world. Yes, we are cousins, but I was excited to have him back on to get in depth on a bunch of topics.  Texting and driving, Snapchat and TikTok, vaping, respect, sexting....and numerous other things.  All of these are happening to the youth of today...and others as well.  If you haven't heard Dave's first episode (#3), I would highly encourage it.  Since this one gives you an intricate look into his life, I know that many of you will appreciate the perspectives and genuine care and compassion that Dave brings to all that he comes in contact with.  At the end we touch on a few of the interesting things he did before becoming a member of law enforcement...but no matter your views on anything in life.....I know you will find a number of things helpful after hearing Dave.  I've told you before.....but just trust me.  Let your friends know about this one.  Enjoy Dave...and keep enjoying the Mic is Ahn.

This first episode of the new year brings us Kevin Ahn....my brother.  This interview has it all.  Really.  We start off by talking about life in Japan...because that is where he and his family have lived for nearly a decade.  We talk school system differences, food, driving...or lack thereof, what he misses about the states....and more about food.  We revisit some of the interesting stories he has from Japan, and talk about vending machines, convenience stores and gummy candy.  In the second half of the interview, Kevin talks about his favorite memories of the Burning Man Festival which he attended many times before moving away from the states.  Kevin gives his philosophies on art, which he teaches in Japan....and we talk about differences between the two of us....and hit on some funny memories we had from growing up.  Finally...we talk about the fact that he barely listens to this podcast.  Yeah.  This episode is worth the price of admission.  Kevin is a very interesting and well thought out speaker, and we had a great time talking about everything.  Feel free to rate and review and keep listening to The Mic is Ahn......let's go!
