We're still stuck on spending vs the PFD and the local media continues and endless series of stories about the horrors of austerity. Today's the day we get to let our hair down and talk about stuff we love. But not only do we get to talk about Firearms today, I'll open up the phones to talk about just about anything (hence the 'Freeform'). We're gonna let you drive the bus for awhile! Then we'll finish up the show today with our weekly movie review featuring the one and only Willie Waffle.

Disappointment is to soft a word for what I feel today. Dunleavy's latest proclamation on the call for the special session is, in my mind at least, a betrayal of trust of the folks who've been backing the governor since the beginning. He has ceded the field to the House Majority and Senate President. I'm going to break down where everything has gone wrong and take your calls with your thoughts on it as well.

Well, the AKLEG has dropped a lawsuit on the Governor over the education funding. Meanwhile Dunleavy has said they will still fund this years education while the lawsuit is ongoing. We'll get another example of the "lawlessness" we've been talking about the last couple of weeks. And we'll hear the outrageous comment from Bryce Edmond about the Wasilla contingent. Then in hour two we'll talk with Rep. Sarah Vance from Homer about the continued stalemate.

Time for our 'down and weeds' discussion with Brad Keithley, director of Alaskans for a Sustainable Budget. It's the day that we go over his weekly "Top 3" items that people in the state of Alaska should be paying attention to. We start with a discussion of HB2001, then hit on rumors of a "compromise" and finally...the University. Today is the deadline to override the vetos so I decided to forgo most of the Firearms stuff today and focus on all the buzz coming out of Juneau yesterday. Rep. Tammie Wilson got kicked out of the Majority and she'll be on this morning to tell the tale. Plus we've got some inside scoop on some backroom deals we're hearing about that may change everything. Then in hour two we get a chance to talk to you the listener on your thoughts and finally we finish up with Willie Waffle for our weekend movie review.
