The Midday Show

Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael were joined by Atlanta United Color Analyst Jason Longshore who talked about how the MLS is inching closer to a return to action. Bunker asked Longshore what kind of impact the Bundesliga’s successful return over the last week has had on the MLS and other Soccer leagues around the world.

“The NWSL on the women’s side is creating plans to move forward, MLS is figuring out what they are going to do moving forward, USL Championship, US League 1. It’s getting to the point to where we are starting to figure out logistics and not just theoretical ideas right now,” said Longshore.

Longshore also explained how the Costa Rican league will be the first professional soccer league to return to action in the Americas.

Andy and Randy kick-off the show thanking everyone who helped with the show's success in the first year before talking about the latest reports on the MLB, revenue sharing and the PR war playing out between the owners and players.

Andy and Randy talk about former Georgia Bulldog DeAndre Baker's interesting excuse for what he was doing during the alleged robbery in Miami. They also react to Horace Grant's comments about Michael Jordan being a snitch.

The guys debuted a new segment, pulling cards from a 2003 NFL Topps set that at some point will have Randy McMichael card in there. Plus, the Falcons question of the Day: Who is the most underappreciated Falcon?

Andy and Randy talk about the breaking news that Disney/Orlando is the front runner to host the remaining NBA season. The guys are also joined by Atlanta United radio analyst Jason Longshore to talk about the ongoing discussions to get the MLS season restarted.

92.9 The Game reporter Joe Patrick joined Andy and Randy to discuss MLB's safety proposals and what the MLS can learn from the Bundesliga through the first few days of re-opening competition.

Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael talked about who they think the next “Falcon for Life” will be. Over the past few years Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and Grady Jarrett have been dubbed “Falcons for life.” So what player is next?

“Calvin Ridley. I’d say Calvin Ridley. I look at that Falcon for life thing and I think sometimes, and this is not just for the Falcons this for everybody, it’s all overblown. Because you never know what’s going to happen. What if something does happen and the Falcons don’t make the playoffs and Dan (Quinn) is gone,” said McMichael.

Bunker and McMichael continued the conversation by explaining how hard it is to stay with one team your whole career for various reasons.
