The Midday Show

Andy and Randy talk about the big Week 1 of college football before talking about Ronald Acuna Jr.'s struggles at the plate. Can we trust the Braves bullpen more than Acuna at this point?

DJ Shockley, studio analyst for the SEC Network and former Georgia Bulldog, joined Chris and Harper on the Midday Show to talk about those Dawgs winning in Tennessee against Vanderbilt. Chris asked DJ about Zamir "Zeus" White returning to the gridiron. After two ACL tears, White came back rushing for fifty-one yards on five carries in the 30 - 6 victory over Vandy.

Shockley, who shares the same UGA number as the young running back, was very impressed and happy to see Zamir White on the field showing why he was the highly touted recruit. To DJ, White is reminiscent of the old bruising running backs of UGA's past. Going forward, Shockley sees Zamir being more comfortable on the field, like he belongs here. He also can see White going up to about ten carries per game. Shockley also talked about the defense. He credits the defensive front, not giving Vandy much room to do any damage to the Bulldogs.

Chris had Harper recap What's Trending in Atlanta sports.  Marvin Freeman, former Braves pitcher joined Chris and Harper to talk about his charity event to bring more people into baseball. A Celebrity Bowling match on in Kennesaw, on Sept 26. Caleb joined Chris and Harper to talk about the win at GSU and what to expect from the fanbase next week against Furman.
