Bart Winkler from 105.7 the Fan Milwaukee and Co-Host of Chuck and Winkler picks 14th in our Mock Draft. Bart told us it feels weird that the Packers are picking this early in the draft. He did say it’s kind of a good thing because they are in a remodeling mode for the Packers but not a rebuilding mode. Bart talked about Mike McCarthy being in a win now mode especially with the moves made within the organization. Bart described the passion of Packers fans and compared it to the fan level of SEC fans.

Rick and Bart joked about the border war between Wisconsin and Minnesota. Bart talked about the signing of Wilkerson and Jimmy Graham and told us who he thought was the better signee. Rick and Bart spared about who has the most lakes in their state. Bart picked Denzel Ward. ​

Matt Maiocco from NBC Sports Bay Area picks for the 49ers in our Mock Draft. Matt didn’t agree with Rick that WR is a big need for the 49ers based on Kyle Shanahan’s system. Matt did say they would probably address the WR position in rounds 3 or 4. Matt told us the 49ers believe Jimmy Garoppolo is the real deal and almost became the defacto leader before he even took a snap.

Matt discussed the money they paid RB Jerick McKinnon in free agency and how the 49ers pinpointed him as the guy they wanted. Matt described how he thinks the 49ers defense will play this season with the edition of Richard Sherman but also the offseason problems for some of their players. Matt says they feel good about the CB’s but need a dominant pass rusher. Matt picked Tremaine Edwards. ​

Rick welcomed Randy back to the show for one more time before John comes back from vacation. Randy joked about calling the Hawks win yesterday with Bunker and Jarvis. Rick explained why he had a problem with the Hawks win yesterday. Randy said he had 10-12 Busch beers watching the Masters along with some whiskey. CCV sitting in for Mark talked about the ATL UTD game vs LA. Randy said there was some home cooking for the United during that game. That is What’s Up… Masters won by Patrick Reed, ATL UTD with another win, So far so good for the Timberwolves making the playoffs and the Hawks getting their pick.

Rick and Randy asked the fans if they are buying the Braves. Rick says he is buying the Braves as a wild card team. Randy told us he thinks the Braves can keep up this pace offensively but what concerns is him is the starting pitching especially at home. Took a call. Rick told Randy he is willing to hit the reset button on Teheran but Randy said he isn’t ready for another prospect player.

Zach told us the Dolphins taking a QB might actually be the smart pick. Zach broke down the WR core and who might be the odd man out this season. Zach mentioned the types of players the Dolphins acquired to fill the shoes of Jarvis Landry since he is no longer with the team. Zach told us he was shocked when the Dolphins brought in Brock Osweiller and said the only explanation for that is because he is a Gase guy. Rick read some Kirby Smart quotes from the scrimmage regarding Justin Fields and him being a freshman. Rick mentioned last week being very long for him with double duty here at the station and NBA TV. Rick talked about how he and Charity did some spring-cleaning in the boys room over the weekend. This allowed him to open a box full of old baseball cards, go through them and price them to sell. Randy talked about his wife being the Queen of Craig’s list selling all their old stuff before they move into their new house in May and pockets all the money even if it belongs to him. Randy admitted that no matter what he does his wife Donna will come out victorious. Rick admitted that he didn’t watch the Master this weekend because Tiger wasn’t in the hunt but watched the Atlanta United game start to finish. CCV told us he worked this weekend and knocked out the boxing podcast with Sean. He went to Tilted Kilt and watched the game. Sunday he worked the Masters broadcast for the station.

Grant Hill Hawks Vice Chair of the Board talks HOF and hoops with Rick and Randy Mac. Grant talked to us about being inducted into the Naismith hall of Fame and what it was like to get the call. Grant told Randy getting in the Hall of Fame isn’t something you think about during your career but rather something you look back on after you retire and wonder if you did enough.

Grant also mentioned the rule change where they moved the eligibility from 5 years to fours and brought so many more players into the picture who could be inducted. Grant lamented that because of injuries he wasn’t able to show what he was fully capable of doing while playing in the NBA. Grant told us that Villanova might be the great shooting team in college basketball history. Grant compliment Coach Jay Wright for how he handled his team and the way he ran practices that he was able to watch during the tournament. Grant describe the decision the Hawks made as an organization to try to get a high draft pick in the draft and thinks they are in a good position to make that happen. Grant complimented Coach Bud and the players for how they handled themselves this season and the hard work they put in​
