The Middle of the Road Podcast

On part 4 of The Rumble Special the guys are still joined by Smooth E and they break down the WWE Championship match between Roman and Kevin Owens and the aftermath. Roman is TJ's favorite wrestler and Coach does not like him very much, to start the match Smooth E is neutral, but by the end of the match sides have been drawn. Coaches drinking starts show up a lot more during this part of the 4-hour special and a bunch of creative editing has been done to be able to release this part.  We want to thank Smooth E for joining us and everyone that has checked it out. We are going to do more specials like this in the future and hope you join us again.

On Part 3 of The Rumble Special, Coach, TJ and Smooth E are joined by Skinman (former cast member of Coach and Smooth E) for most of the segment. During Part 3 the guys watch the women's WWE Championship match and the 30 women Royal Rumble. Skinman was supposed to be in studio with the guys, but explains why he was not able to join and sticks around for commentary and a good time. This was recorded on 1/28/23.

On Part 2 of The Rumble Special, Smooth E sticks around with Coach and TJ are joined by the OK Taco show and co-hosts of Those Guys from Wichita podcast. Bray Wyatt vs LA Knight is going on, but the guys are focused on the reunion with the OK Taco boys during this match and TJ is visibly and possibly audibly upset that the match is muted most of the call. Conrad of the OK Taco show tells a story about a running incident and a dilemma he faced after a stopping in the park at a new bathroom part way into his run and he is judged heavily by the Middle of the Road guys. They play board sound wars and talk about the wrestling special up to that point and the OK Taco show keep thinking they are muting Coach and TJ but are actually muting their show instead (rookie move). This week the guys are joined by a special guest, Coaches old co-host of Monday Morning Papers podcast Skinman stops by to do some fake news and make Coach smile. TJ is still running off his high from Saturdays special Rumble broadcast and we start out with some WWE news.  TJ does a story on a pill you can take to keep you warm and the a story on a underground fallout condos underground, Coach is starting a go fund me to buy the show a fallout studio. We do our top 5 coolest and not coolest 5 current QB's in the NFL and then do a bracket for for the universally most like person. Skinman find a couple (fake) news stories for us. TJ gets in trouble by his wife during the show because Coach makes him play SMASH, RING OR WRESTLE (our version of F, marry or kill). Please Subscribe and share and help us grow.

TJ is in heaven as Coach agreed to do a Royal Rumble watch party and a guest stops by and stays for the rest of our 4 part special. During this 1st of 4 part special Coach, TJ and a special guest Smooth E watch and break down the Men's 30 man Rumble as TJ (the shows WWE and everything wresting expert) breaks down wresting and everything about the wrestlers to Smooth E and Coach. Coach is rusty as he as been out of the wrestling game for a while and E even longer. We eat pizza make comments and watch 29 guys thrown over the ropes with our own special version of commentary. During this special we have call in guests and link up with a another live podcast as well.  We take the logo off the center tv about 35 min in.

The guys are back and coach is down about his Dallas Cowboys and comes up with a way to help them fix it. TJ is getting over the Flu and adjusting back to life and is down about his KU basketball. People have been noticing Coaches man bag and he states his case as they play whats in Casey's fanny. TJ is distracted by the 30th anniversary of Raw playing in the background but still does a couple stories. Plus we pick our XFL teams put of a hat.

After tying to explain the new name change (just took Monday Morning off) and getting use to the new studio set, the guys talk about he last week and do a couple news stories. TJ survives another family hunting adventure and he is the only one that doesn't get one. Coach has a new driving school for bad drivers and has been noticing a lot of mini vans doing major hauling. TJ does stories on Female cop in an open marriage that her husband doesn't know about, the Gooines House for sale,  a bear living under a porch and the homeowner letting it stay. Jon Jones returning to the UFC, NFL playoffs going on while Kliff Kingsbury off to Thailand and marriages surviving sleeping in separate beds this week on The Middle of the Road.

This week TJ and Coach Casey try doing the show while watching the National Championship game and their attention is in and out.  Coach starts out the show on Politics and they quickly pivot to stories and sports talk.  TJ starts out with his weekend hunting with his wife (she didn't shoot him). With the playoff set they pick the weeks NFL games, and who's hot and who's not going into them.  With a bunch of new equipment in work they are live on Facebook, TikTok and Twitch this week.  2 stories on robberies being stopped, ex-MMA fighter charged with murder and Joe Rogan pissing off Trump people this week.

TJ and Coach are back in Studio and Coach is trying too much technology at once and it shows. He tried overdosing on his meds (accidently) before the show starts and they are both depressed with the finish to their college football teams. They are live on TikTok for about 20 minutes until they are suspended again for violating guidelines yet again, probably TJ's fault (one day they will figure it out or give up) and just switch back to Facebook where they have never been kicked off.  They are on Twitch now and have no followers, they are both losers and did nothing on New Year's and a group of under 11-year old girls did a better podcast than them on their first try. They discuss their New Year's resolutions, and who's neighborhood was a bigger warzone this year and talk about all the recent passings and the legacy they left behind.  TJ does a few stories including Blaine Gabbert saving people from a helicopter crash and story on Florida Man and finish up with some WWE talk and prepare for Summer Slam.

This week TJ and Coach Casey try out TikTok live for the first time as they do a Christmas special. They each pick there top 5 Christmas movies and debate each others picks. They talk about when they found out Santa was not real and when they ruined it for their kids, 3 stories Christmas edition and strange traditions around the world.
