Here's the second part of our folklore/evermore review. Since evermore is still fresh in our minds, these are our first impression rankings so def take them with a grain of salt. If you haven't listened already - our folklore review is up as well! We'd love to hear your rankings as well so please dm us what you think!
Katie & Erika are back from the 2020 hibernation after Miss. Swift decided to drop not 1, but 2 surprise albums this year (btw, thanks Taylor.) In this two part episode we rank each song from Folklore & Evermore and discuss our thoughts on each. We'd love to hear your rankings as well so please dm us what you think!
Hello to our loyal listeners! Anyone still out there? It's been a minute since we dropped a new episode, but the year is 2020 and well, I think we're all living in a simulation. HA. But seriously, we're super happy to be back and making more episodes. Both of us felt during the last month we wanted to be sensitive to what's going on in our world and focus our time to listening and learning (and un-learning!) about the racial injustice in our country and the world. Please check our instagram for some resources and tools we've been using to further educate ourselves! We're so excited to bring you this week's episode with Danielle Johnson. Danielle is one of Erika's co-workers at Gable Music Ventures, and she's in the soul blues band Hoochi Coochi. Danielle joins us to discuss her experience as a black, queer woman in the music industry, her thoughts on the Black Lives Matter movement and social media's involvement, as well as debunking and confirming some stereotypes about being in a band. Listen in at Spotify or Apple Podcasts, and be sure to check out Hoochi Coochi!
Erika and Katie could not be more excited to introduce Alexis to The Midnight Tea fam. Alexis is what some might call an “influencer” but what she does with her social media platform is so much more than that. Tune in to hear about how to start a career on social media, making deals with brands and companies, and if influencer actually use the products they promote! Listen on Apple Podcasts and Spotify for this week’s tea
Erika is taking over with her boyfriend Nick! This week we are talking about being stuck in quarantine with your significant other, being single during a pandemic, and trying to get over an ex when you have literally nothing else to do. Stay tuned to see how Erika and Nick haven't managed to kill each other yet! Sending love to quarantine couples everywhere
We finally figured out how to record remote podcasts WOO! This week we are talking with Emma Spaeder about being a pediatric nurse and what nursing is like during a pandemic. This is the first episode in our career crash course series where we will be interviewing people in all different lines of work to help all of you make the right decisions in your future career. Be sure to let us know who you would like to see interviewed next!
Long time no tea. Since both rikkie and ktb are safely quarantined at home, they are sadly not together and no longer able to record episodes in the basement of the library. So each week, they'll get the chance to sit in a quiet room and ramble to themselves for an hour. How thrilling. In this episode, ktb talks living in a house with 2 college professors, why we need to stop comparing our losses to others, and some ways to stay motivated during this time. Bring your favorite mug (you know, the one with that cute motivational quote that rhymes - yup that one) for a super chill and real episode... then let's wake up and do it all again tomorrow.
Coronavirus is taking over life as we knew it. So this week we are here to talk about our secrets to getting your dream internship or job. Listen this week for our new "phone a friend" segment, side hustles, and COVID-19
