Bonnie Feigenbaum served on Hampstead Town Council for eight years. A former card carrying Liberal, she is running in the upcoming provincial election for the Quebec Conservative Party. We asked her why?

Montreal will be alive with excitement July 7 and 8 when the Upper Deck NHL entry draft takes place at the Bell Centre. The Canadiens have the very first draft choice so when Beaconsfield’s Kent Hughes, the new Habs GM, steps to the microphone at about 7 pm who will he select? The last time Montreal hosted this event was in 2009 and with the 18th choice, the Habs chose Kirkland’s Louis Leblanc and the place erupted with excitement. Leblanc enrolled in Harvard, played one season there and then came home to suit up for the Montreal Juniors. From there he turned pro with the Habs minor league squad in Hamilton, graduated to the big team yet never really made a mark in the big show. Long retired, Leblanc lives in Boston and works at Oliver Wyman, a leading international management consulting firm. I reached Leblanc in Boston.

Dr. Marvin Steinberg has had a successful orthodontistry practice at Quartier Cavendish in Côte Saint-Luc for more than 40 years. He received his dental training at McGill University and his Orthodontic training at Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry in Boston. He holds a Certificate in Orthodontics as well as a Masters of Science in Dentistry degree. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, and as well, a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. Dr. Steinberg talks to me about his career, his patients and his plans for the future.

The mission of The Foundation for Genocide Education( https://gened.org) is to collaborate with governments to ensure that the history of genocide and the steps leading to it are taught in high schools across Canada and the United States. Seven year old Naomi Miller is a Grade 2 student at Hebrew Academy in Côte Saint-Luc and a proud member of Congregation Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem (TBDJ). Her family are also constituents of mine.
