  • 32: Why I Stopped Offering Talk Therapy

    ๐ŸŒธ Millennial Mama Mix

Iโ€™m TIRED. We just got back from a fall break vacation bonanza with our friends, and my honest report is that vacations with kids are just parenting with different scenery and more public observers!ย

    ๐Ÿ’Ÿ Favorites Folder

The YOTO player, aka babyโ€™s first iPod, and especially the create-your-own cards. Harper got hers for Christmas when she was 4ยฝ, lost interest, and is now rediscovering it. She asks โ€œMom, can you make me a card for this?โ€ and I get to curate playlists like Iโ€™m back in high school. It was also the MVP on the drive up to South Lake Tahoe and back, and it helps her fall asleep at night.

    ๐Ÿ›‹๏ธ Pink Couch Post-Its

Big news, friends: a new era for Millennial Mama Therapy! Iโ€™m now offering accelerated resolution therapy exclusively, and only in the intensive format. I tell the story of the last year (including walking away from insurance in-network life in November) and why this is the thing I believe in most. Every intensive now happens in a single week, with sessions of just 2 to 3 hours in the early afternoon. You drop your kids off, come in, and wrap up before school pickup. Healing at the speed of motherhood, with a clear start and a clear end.ย

  • 31: A Massage for Your Brain (What ART Therapy Feels Like For Moms)

    ๐ŸŒธ Millennial Mama Mix

Our first family trip is about to happen, with both girls (and our friends!) to South Lake Tahoe. This will be Nora's first-ever hotel stay! Also, a PSA: vacation with kids is not a vacation, it's a trip. It's basically parenting with different scenery ๐Ÿ˜‚

    ๐Ÿ’Ÿ Favorites Folder

Kinetic sand trays, straight from my kids! I like them way more than Play-Doh because it vacuums or wipes right up, the lids mean cleanup is literally "pop it on and put it on the shelf," and it doesn't stick to their stuffies.

    ๐Ÿ›‹๏ธ Pink Couch Post-Its

I'm officially a master-certified ART practitioner! I just assisted with my fourth basic training (third time assisting), and I'm transitioning my practice to be exclusively Accelerated Resolution Therapy. I'm also rolling out ART Intensives designed for moms in three tiers: a 1-day Rewind, a 2-day Reset, and my signature 3-day Rewrite. Each day is only 2-3 hours. Interest form is linked below!ย

  • 30: Sick of Talking About Your Trauma? Fast Trauma Therapy for Moms

    ๐ŸŒธ Millennial Mama Mix

PSA: make the damn appointments! Physicals, dental cleanings, pap smears, flu shots, COVID boosters, that first mammogram or colonoscopy (and the follow-ups!). Iโ€™m sharing my hacks for making sure these get on your calendar consistently.ย

    ๐Ÿ’Ÿ Favorites Folder

Press-on nails, the most-asked-about favorite in podcast history! I've worn them consistently for four years, and with good nail prep + semi-solid nail glue, they don't pop off. DM me if you need troubleshooting help!

    ๐Ÿ›‹๏ธ Pink Couch Post-Its

I'm officially advanced-trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy! ๐Ÿฅณ The research on combat PTSD shows symptom relief in 1โ€“5 sessions, with an average of three, and you never have to say out loud what you're processing. Starting in October, my practice is shifting fully to intensives done over several days in the same week, and you can now set up payment plans through Klarna. Book a consultation call to get on my list!

(Oh and PS, I accidentally said, "we would not have EMDR without ART." I meant the opposite! EMDR came first, and ART builds on it. We would not have ART without EMDR. ๐Ÿ˜‰)

    ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป One Last Thing

Your parting gift this week: the best way to move through life is the way that works for you. For me, that's freezer breakfast sandwiches for protein, showering at night, and a fresh set of press-ons. • 29: You're Doing a Hard Job Beautifully: Why the Toddler Years Feel So Hard

    ๐ŸŒธ Millennial Mama Mix

My baby turned THREE! ๐Ÿฅน Nora got dressed all by herself for the first time, asked me to sing Sto Lat (the Polish birthday song I grew up with) right after Happy Birthday, and we let her birthday be easy: donuts, a park date with friends, and no big party.ย

    ๐Ÿ’Ÿ Favorites Folder

The simplest hack ever: bring your kitchen scissors (in a giant Ziploc) to the Costco food court. We go every Monday after work, and I cut up pizza with a plastic knife for a YEAR before this dawned on me.ย

    ๐ŸŒธ Millennial Mama Mix

Wrapping up my MATCH framework today with the last letter, H for Human, and hereโ€™s what that looks like for meโ€ฆ I get overstimulated fast, and my meltdowns aren't pretty. I also cannot function without buffer time between work and pickup, and I will die on the hill that prepping 20 freezer meals in one sitting is totally doable, but cooking dinner every single night is not. Turns out a lot of my "human" stuff is just... ADHD stuff ๐Ÿ˜‚

    ๐Ÿ›‹๏ธ Pink Couch Post-Its

Giving my Match List its flowers today because I don't talk about it enough. It's the non-clinical way I get to be your matchmaker and connect you to the provider or resource you need, no therapy relationship required.ย

  • 27: Stop Calling Yourself Lazy For Doing the Easy Thing

    ๐ŸŒธ Millennial Mama Mix

Ease has gotten a bad reputation, and I'm here to reclaim it. Ease โ‰  laziness. Ease is freedom from difficulty, but laziness is unwillingness to try. My kid can shimmy under my bed to grab something I can't reach, and that doesn't make her lazy; it means she's better equipped for that one task. Same logic applies to us as moms!

    ๐Ÿ’Ÿ Favorites Folder

Tune in for a list of non-annoying kidsโ€™ content my girls are currently obsessed with.

First podcast episode of September?! My brainโ€™s already like, well that's basically a wrap on 2026, see you in October. ๐Ÿ˜… This weekend was peak Millennial Mama Memo mode: I prepped 20 freezer meals, Harper and I went and cuddled baby green cheek conures, and more.

  • 25: Asking for Help Is Not Weakness (Why It's So Hard for Moms Anyway)

    ๐ŸŒธ Millennial Mama Mix

Asking for help is not weakness! It can be a gift to the person you're asking, especially when it's something they're good at. Example: My podcast editor Adrienne also does podcast management, so I texted her asking how soon we could switch to that. I was fully braced for a maybe, but she replied, โ€œtoday!โ€ All the tasks I was gritting my teeth over, she was thrilled to take on because sheโ€™s designed a business that relies on her strengths.

    ๐Ÿ’Ÿ Favorites Folder

My current caffeine hack: Nescafรฉ Gold Espresso instant coffee from Costco. I heat water in the tea kettle, add two scoops + half a cup of water + syrup + milk over ice, and it's basically a homemade latte for a fraction of what I'd spend at a coffee shop.

    ๐Ÿ›‹๏ธ Pink Couch Post-Its

Working through the fourth letter of my MATCH framework: Connector, all about how I prioritize collaboration over competition. It's the whole reason Matchmaker Hours exists!

    ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป One Last Thing

Starting something new: a "parting gift" to close out each episode, a mantra or reminder to carry with you. This week itโ€™s โ€œasking for help is not weakness, and letting someone help you is a gift to them too.โ€ ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

  • 24: Is Your Therapist Trained in Postpartum Care?

    ๐ŸŒธ Millennial Mama Mix

We survived our first few weeks back at school! My older daughter started her second year of TK (transitional kindergarten - a California thing, think preschool), and this year looked SO different than last year.

Last year I cried dropping her off, and I was only about four months into my own ADHD diagnosis, deep in the process of figuring out what was me and what wasn't. This year, a totally different mom showed up at drop-off.

Getting to watch her grow while I've done my own healing right alongside her is one of the coolest, most unexpected gifts of this whole journey. ๐Ÿฅน

    ๐Ÿ’Ÿ Favorites Folder

I am deep in a cult documentary hole right now ๐Ÿ‘€ I just binged Heaven's Gate: The Cult of Cults and The Vow (about NXIVM), and it reminded me that I watched Leah Remini's entire Scientology series while waiting to go into labor with Harper. Send me your recs, I need more!

    ๐Ÿ›‹๏ธ Pink Couch Post-Its
About the Lindsay Clancy case: specialization matters. SO much. A license and a master's degree are not enough to treat perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. If someone says they're a perinatal specialist, look for PMH-C (Perinatal Mental Health Certified) after their name, not just "I work with moms."

    ๐ŸŒธ Millennial Mama Mix
Why tracking your entire monthly cycle (not just your period) tells you so much about your energy, mood, and ADHD symptoms, including the wild fact that some of us won't meet the criteria for ADHD when tested outside our luteal phase. ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฏ Plus a PSA: you can still have a cycle even while breastfeeding, on birth control, or even after a hysterectomy.
