Queering Wesley, Queering the Church is a book written by Keegan Osisnki. Quite a title right!?! If you haven't seen the cover, click the link below to catch a glimpse. However, before you literally judge a book (or it's author) by it's cover, take a second to hear a little about Keegan. She shares a little about her life, her convictions and why she took on a project like this that is giving the Wesleyan Holiness Church world quite a lot to think about!
Here is here book!
Also, Keegan is a librarian and wanted to be sure that everyone had resources for getting started with thinking about Christianity and LGBTQ+ issues. Here are her suggested reading materials:
Every now and then we catch wind that someone is doing church a little different. Ryan Fasani is one of those pastors who is innovating the pastoral role in real-time and may just be paving the way for what it looking like to participate in the life of the church tomorrow. In part one we talk about how he spends his time focused on three vocational areas: church planting, farming, and writing.

Goodness... This episode is special. It's special because we had the privilege to hear from our friend Jared. If you don't know him, you will quickly hear how passionate and energetic he is. In fact, due to technical issues, we had to record this episode over phones which allowed Jared to literally run around the farm he lives on while enthusiastically telling us the story of how he ended up living/pastoring there in the first place. You may occasionally be able to tell that we had to resort to this recording method, but we believe that Jared's story more than makes up for audio issues we experienced.
This episode is also very special because the very same day Jared recorded this episode with us he was in a serious accident that sent him to the hospital. With permission from his spouse Sophie, we decided to share his episode in light of this awful event. We hope it's what Jared would want, and we look forward to him hearing it in the near future. While you listen to Jared, would you pray for the long road to recovery that lays before him? Also, if you are hearing of his injury for the first time and want to reach out to encourage the family, please help us limit the noise and chaos of phones and social media accounts by sending your well-wishing to us. We will make sure they receive it in the least invasive way possible.
Enjoy.

Letiah & Brent re-join the podcast to share a little of what they have gone through over this past year. We also talk about how 2020 has shaped the community gatherings they both currently lead. Letiah has leveraged zoom to create a gathering that would not have otherwise been possible. Bent has taken cues from ancient practices to form a gathering that might seem unusual for a millennial to be part of in 2021. Both approaches have differences, but the most important thing they share is a desire to gather with others for the purpose encouraging one another to become more christlike!

Ben Cremer is a pastor, a professor and a podcast host (A Plain Account which is part of The Millennial Pastors Podcasting Network)! On this podcast he shares everything from the rollercoaster that is being a pastor in a pandemic, his own struggle with mental health, as well as his thoughts on the pitfalls of American Evangelicalism as a whole. He also shares his hopes and dreams for what the Church could be if we were quick to confess, and slow to engage in culture wars rooted in pride. Listen and tell us what you think!
Will and Moose are on the show to talk about the different ways they have dealt with the Covid restrictions as it pertains to their worship gatherings. Spoiler alert, they took different approaches! It seems maybe there is not a one size fits all solution to these complex issues! Still, they both agree that our churches have had problems left unaddressed long before Covid made them glaringly obvious.
