violence. She completed a practicum at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Boise, sitting with veterans

facing houselessness, substance use, and vocational barriers. After the pandemic’s devastating impact on youth,

she pivoted into intensive outpatient care with teens, young adults, and families — and found her clinical home.

She returned to school later in life, earning her Master of Education in Rehabilitation Counseling with a 4.0 GPA

at age 39. That experience deepened her attunement to people who feel they arrived late to their own potential or

carry the quiet fear that it may be too soon to hope. Elaina is a brain tumor survivor. She is deaf on one side and lives

with tinnitus. She has navigated blended families, single parenthood, divorce, and the particular kind of rebuilding

that follows significant loss. None of those experiences define her work — but all of them inform how she sits with

people who are doing the same. She knows the gap between how life was expected to look and how it actually

unfolds. She knows the psychological layers that accompany disability and chronic illness: identity, grief,

adaptation, autonomy, and the practical terrain of medical systems, specialist relationships, and self-advocacy.
