Welcome to Episode 69 - Mindset and Performance with Brian Moylett
Picture the 8 year old you. You’re running around the backyard with a ball pretending to play like your favourite footy player. You join your local club and you dream of growing up to be a footy star!
But then as you get older, playing footy gets hard. You’re physically fit, but your mindset is all over the place. Self-doubt creeps in, and you find yourself questioning your ability and love for the game. And then injury hits, and you’re like… what now?
This is Brian Moylett’s story.
From playing underage rugby for Ireland, to injuries preventing him from playing professional rugby in the USA, Brian shares how his mental health was challenged.. And how he now uses his experience to coach the importance of mindset to budding sports stars across the world.

Welcome to Episode 65 - Men's Mental Health with Josh Binger
This week I’m diving into a powerful discussion about men’s mental health with Josh Binger from Broski.
Josh is a man on a mission, aiming to inspire men to open up about their mental health. Josh has experienced the impacts of mental illness first hand, from both a personal and professional level.
To help break the cycle of men dying by suicide, Josh has created the Broski brand to inspire, educate and advocate for better men's mental health.
Josh is also the host of the On The Mend Podcast which is a great listen with a diverse range of quality guests sharing their mental health stories.

Welcome to Episode 64 - ChatGPT on the importance of male friendships
Over the past few years, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has increasingly become a norm in our everyday life.
AI personalises our social media use, whilst Siri, Alexa and Google Home are infiltrating our home and office spaces, making it easier to perform tasks like find a Spotify playlist.
In recent months, ChatGPT has popped into the news with stories like students using it to write their papers, and businesses using it for reports and blogs. Content creation takes a lot of my time, so I thought I would see if I can save time by getting ChatGPT to help me write a podcast episode.
And what it came up with was a chat about the importance of male friendships. I'll share the script ChatGPT wrote, whilst also sharing a bit about what it is, and how you can get started with it.

The Mindful Men Podcast is a show that inspires men through vulnerable conversations. And this week, we get pretty vulnerable as I talk about drug addiction, mental health and the healing power of music with Skip Sams.

Skip is now sober, and helps musicians and performing Artists who have lost their technical skills, disconnected from their inner music, and whose spark of creativity has gone dark.

Welcome to Episode 61 - MasterChef and Mental Health with Aaron Sanders
It’s a new year, which means a new season of MasterChef is not too far away from our television sets!
And like many, I’ll be tuning in to see what the cooks are conjuring up… and salivating away even though I’ve devoured my own dinner merely an hour before.
But MasterChef isn’t just about food, it’s about people. It’s about challenges and triumphs and following our dreams.
This week, I’m sitting down with Aaron Sanders – a top 24 MasterChef contestant from 2021. And whilst we talk about MasterChef and Aaron’s love for food, we also talk about something he is very passionate about… his mental health!
Aaron opens up about his personal challenges, and how cooking helps him through difficult times. I loved this aspect of self-care, and I’m sure you will too!

Welcome to Episode 60 - Book Review: Chasing Excellence
This week I'm diving into another book review following a plug from one of my earliest guests on the podcast.
In episode 17, I interviewed fellow Social Worker Anthony Simons about exercise based therapy. At the end of the episode, Anthony plugged Chasing Excellence by Ben Bergeron. Anthony recommended it because (a) it was a good read, but (b) it linked mental wellbeing with exercise.
So that same day I bought it, and whilst it took me awhile to read through it (#slowreader) I'm glad I did!
The book follows Ben as he coaches some of the world's fittest athletes to win the CrossFit Games. But it's not just about reps. Its also about mindset, and how the right mindset can help people of all walks of life to strive for excellence.
If you love the episode, make sure to give the show a 5 star rating on your favourite podcast platforms AND subscribe to the YouTube Channel (Its FREE!!!)
