The Mindset of an International Entrepreneur with Laura Ibarra, Founder of 3 Wins International

Listen Later

At the age of 21, Laura established her own company in Mexico, Mas-In Design, which recently celebrated its 19th anniversary. She was a key part of Grupo Reforma, one of Mexico’s most renowned newspaper conglomerates and years later played an essential role in the creation of the international brand Cocineros MX por el Mundo, headquartered in Dubai.

When she got married and came to the United States, she learned about some limitations of spouses in that situation. She eventually earned her green card and recently started 3 Wins International LLC which was inspired by a renowned architect and designer, Buckminister Fuller. Embracing the concepts of comprehensive thinking and synergetics, she aims to create harmonious and sustainable solutions for successful brand communication. The three wins stand for a big win for the company, a big win for the client, and a big win for the community, as part of their commitment to engage in give-back projects and non-profit support.

With two masters and currently going for her doctorates, she is also an avid reader, a Zentangler practitioner, and a treasure hunger in used book stores.

In this session we will discuss:

  • Could you share your experience of moving to the United States with a dependent visa? And what projects has this experience led you to?
  • You founded "3 Wins International LLC" after obtaining your Green Card. What is the mission of your company, and how did you gain the help and knowledge to establish it?
  • In the book The Essence of a Woman in your "High Heel Moment," you talk about founding several companies. What advice would you give to women who want to start their own business but fear taking the first step?
  • In your chapter, Healthy Mindset: Game, Set, and Match! you discuss the "six fears" mentioned by Napoleon Hill. How do you think these fears specifically affect women entrepreneurs?
  • What skills do you consider important to develop in order to be a resilient entrepreneur?
  • You mention in the section - LEGACY LADY- the importance of preserving the family legacy, as your mother did with your grandmother's journal. How do you think sharing stories can empower women?
