Consecration means to set apart something or someone for a sacred purpose, especially for God’s use. Consecration involves;
•Dedicating yourself to God.
•Setting your life apart for His purposes.
•Separating your life from what is common or withdrawal from public life.
•Devotion to God.
•Yielding your will fully to God’s will (Mathew 26:39). Consecration is not just a one-time act, but often a continuous lifestyle of devotion. Consecration in the Old Testament (Exodus 28:41).
•Priests were consecrated for Service (Exodus 29:1-9).
•The altar and temple vessels were consecrated (Exodus 30:26-29).
•The nation of Israel was called to be holy (Exodus 19:10-15, Exodus 29:43-45, Leviticus 20:7-8).
