On this day in the Year 1988, Cinderella becomes the Eighth “Walt Disney Classic” to be released on Video and also on this day, years later, in the year 2005 Walt Disney’s Classic Cinderella is released on DVD for the first time ever on a 2-disc special edition and with that a special edition Soundtrack featuring original classics from the film plus 2 new artist tracks.

Today in the year 2009 - Disney Stores officially cease sales of Disney Dollars.

Disney Style just announced 4 new Spirit Jerseys, coming to the Disneyland Resort. The 4 Jersey’s coming our way include, It’s a Small World, The Enchanted Tiki Room, Pirates of the Caribbean & a special Glow in the Dark The Haunted Mansion Spirit Jersey. No set date on their release yet but rumor has it, they will be here at the end of this month, so as soon as we know, we will let you all know!

Making the Rumor Mill yesterday, A Live Action Lilo & Stitch is apparently in the works. No projected dates yet on when it will hit theaters but when we know, you will know!

In Downtown Disney News, Salt & Straw will be announcing their official Opening date On Tuesday.

Today in the year 1955 Disney launches to Television the Mickey Mouse Club On ABC.

With that being said, In Disneyland History, Today in the year 2005, Ten of the Original Mouseketeers gather in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle in Disneyland to Sing, Dance and share memories. They are joined by 1,000 Honorary Mouseketeers, who help them unveil the World’s Largest Pair of Mouseketeer ears on the Anniversary of The Mickey Mouse Club.

As we mentioned in Yesterday’s Minnie Mice Minute, The Popular Enchanted Tiki Room was set to open today from its Refurbishment, however, according to the Disneyland App, it looks like it was pushed to this Saturday, October 6th. So we shall see and of course, we will you keep you all updated.

In Downtown Disney News, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and all Month long Sprinkles is offering a Vanilla Champagne cake with vanilla buttercream infused with strawberries simmered in Sparkling Rose’. For every Cupcake purchased, Sprinkles will donate $.50 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Also, This week only, Sprinkles Cupcakes is offering their Trick Or Treat Receipt. Buy one cupcake then show your receipt on your next visit to redeem for a BOGO.

In Downtown Disney News, Yesterday After announcing the Grand Reopening of Earl Of Sandwich would be Postponed, Earl of Sandwich Surprised us all by opening just a few hours later.

For those planning on going to the parks tonight, Keep in mind, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party will be going on, so Disneyland will be closing at 6pm, However DCA will be open till 9pm So Plan Accordingly!

According to the Disney App Calendar, The all Newly Refurbished, The Enchanted Tiki Room in Disneyland returns tomorrow!

On this day In Disney History in the year 1966 - The National Association of Theatre Owners makes their first award presentation, naming Walt Disney "Showman of the World".

Not DisneyLAND news but definitely worth the mention, On this day in the year 1971 - Close to 10 Thousand visitors gather in Orlando Florida to celebrate The Grand Opening of Walt Disney World, which includes the Magic Kingdom (Disney’s 2nd Theme Park) and 2 resorts.

On this day in the year 1993 - Buena Vista releases the Walt Disney Pictures live-action feature film Cool Runnings to theaters in the US.

Also on this day in the year 1999 - Disney Pin Trading is officially launched.

On this day in the year 2005 - Robert Iger takes over as CEO of The Walt Disney Company.

In Downtown Disney News, The Grand Reopening of Earl of Sandwich that was set for today has been postponed until further notice. No reason was given for the delay.

Weather in the parks today is Sunny with a high of 81 degrees.

On this day in the year 1989, BAMBI becomes the 9th “WALT DISNEY CLASSIC” to be released on video.

Also on this day in the year 2007, Disney’s Live Action Comedy, The Game Plan is released into theaters.

Today in the year 2009, Disney launches, Disney Parks Blog, Their first official leap into the “Blogging world”.

Disneyland introduces new fastPass Scanners that Combat the Sunshine.

With the first installed at “it’s a small world”.

The new scanner has an area for the phone to be inserted. The dark area makes the barcode much easier to scan. Hopefully shortening the sometimes lengthy waits to redeem a FastPass at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

Cauldron Popcorn hit the parks again yesterday. From what we saw, there were plenty and the were No lines for them… If you haven’t gotten yours, I suggest you do so soon before they’re gone again.

This just in, Details have just been released for the Fully Immersive Millennium Falcon attraction coming to Disneyland next summer in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. The ride will be able accommodate 42 guests at a time in 7 pods that seat 6 guests. Riders will be able to interact with the Environment and the pods will be able to rotate 360 degrees. As for the Story of the ride, you will be sent on a Mission by Hondo Ohnaka, a pirate from Clone Wars & Star Wars Rebels to bring back all the loot!

Paint the Night News...According to the DCA Park Schedule, The famous Paint the Night Parade will be making its last and final run on November 7th.

In Disney Park History, Today in the year 1955 The First Annual Horseless Carriage Day is held on Disneyland’s Main Street USA.

On this day in the year 1995, Walt Disney Records releases The Music of Disney’s Cinderella. Released in conjunction with the 1995 Video release of Cinderella, this album is not the original soundtrack recording but a contemporary version of the original music.

Today in the year 2008, In the US, Disney Channel debuts the Disney Spinoff Show, Suite Life on Deck.

This just in yesterday, 4 new quick service locations now offering mobile ordering in the parks. Edelweiss Snacks, Refreshment Corner, Royal Street Veranda and Stage Door Cafe, so make sure you take advantage.

Also, announced yesterday, Holiday’s at the Disneyland Resort will begin November 9th this year.

Today in the year 2005 - Disney holds the premiere of the live-action feature film The Greatest Game Ever Played at the El Capitan theater in Hollywood.

Over the weekend, White Water Snacks had its final day before closing for refurbishment. But don’t worry, It’s set to re-open later this year.
