In Mark 4, when Jesus said to the disciples in the boat “Let us go to the other side,”—he was making a promise. A promise that his presence is with us, his word is faithful, and his peace is stronger than any storm. While his disciples panicked in the chaos of the storm, Jesus fell asleep, modelling the peace we too can embody amid the chaos. Jesus' invites us beyond 'saving faith' into 'shaping faith,' teaching us that our focus during the storm forms who we become.
