Danny Lange is the VP of AI and Machine learning at Unity Technologies and the former head of machine learning at Uber and was the general manager at Amazon machine learning. He also worked for Microsoft and IBM.

There are 2 types of digital assets: pure digital assets which are fictional and don’t exist in real life and assets based on real physical objects that will themselves be represented in a digital form. These digital representations of physical assets like cars, buildings and infrastructures will compose the mirror world we are building along with additional spatial data. The difference is that physical assets are limited whereas pure digital assets can be used an infinite number of times. If you have a car for example, only one person at a time can drive it, and its digital representation can’t be duplicated since the value would be duplicated as well. It’s only a matter of time before everything will be digitized or have a digital representation. There will be a digital version of everything around us because it is so convenient and compelling, the barrier is so low, it’s inevitable.
