In this episode, I introduce you to our new cohost, and overall podcasting genius, Wendy Hornback. We talk about our heart behind this show, what we'll cover for some of our topics, and we start giving you a little background on who we are! Thanks for joining us on this journey!
In this episode, we're finally back after a few weeks off to evaluate the future of the DOM podcast. I share with you all my plans for the future of this show, the new name for the podcast, and the new focus, as well as a new cohost!.
In this episode, I just explain my need to take a break from the show for a few weeks and contemplate the future of this show. I was recently confronted with the reality that much of what's out there in podcasting is just regurgitation of what's already out there. I want to provide a show that's valuable and unique, and to do that, I'm going to take a hiatus in order to figure out how to better accomplish that.
In this episode I walk you through the four stages of competence. We'll look at how we develop from not knowing what we don't know, to having a skillset or knowledge base that is second nature. Join me in this episode as we learn to become the men God designed us to be by developing our core competencies using this framework!
In this episode we pour over a lot of verses to determine if knowledge is good or bad, how it can be used negatively, and how we combine both love and knowledge in order to use it to build others up.
In this episode, I interview my friend Josh Lewis who is a volunteer guide with Outfitters 4 Hope, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a primary mission to serve children with life threatening illness and the children of fallen heroes. We talk about how Josh got into hunting, what Outfitters 4 Hope is, and how they run their hunts, and how Josh was able to take his passions for the outdoors and ultimately use it as a ministry opportunity for others!

In this episode we look at a different approach to prayer. Rather than coming to God with a list of requests or demands, and essentially treating God like a genie in a bottle we can approach God differently. A friend recently gave me a new framework for my prayer life and I'm already seeing God show me things. The three questions of the framework are:
1. God, what do you want me to know about today?
2. God, what do you want me to do with that?
3. God, is there anything in my life that is keeping me from being used by you?
Listen to this episode for my thoughts on this approach and how it's been impacting me.
In this episode I talk about the importance of letting your yes be yes, specifically where planning our time is concerned. I talk about the 6 reasons I think it's important to plan your day, and I give an overview of how to plan your day if it's not something you've done in the past.
In this episode I talk about my experience at a recent prayer breakfast I attended and our discussion about Jonathan in 1 Samuel 14. Jonathan was a son of the king of Israel, and he boldly stepped out in faith and made a huge impact on his nation, and ultimately impacted many men to step up in their lives and better fulfill the roles God was calling them to! We look at 4 types of men: those who have turned away from what they know is right, those living in fear, encourager roles, and leaders who step out boldly in faith. I also cover four steps we should take in our own journeys to become a Jonathan in our spheres of influence.
In this episode, I go over 5 big lessons I've learned over 10 years of marriage. Wendy, my wife, and I just celebrated our 10 year anniversary. I have made plenty of mistakes in marriage, and I share with you 5 of my biggest takeaways from my 10 years of marriage, and how you can start a relationship or marriage out so much stronger than I did by implementing these facets to your relationship immediately!

A show about all things faith, food, marriage and taxidermy. It may sound a little unconventional, but that's kind of our thing! We’re Colin and Wendy and we’re sharing our passion for sourcing our…
