Our guest for today’s episode is Joel Goldberg of Joel Goldberg Media. As a television personality with the Kansas City Royals since 2008, Joel's name has practically become synonymous with the World Champion baseball team. His behind the scenes work inside the clubhouse and the relationships he has built along the way gave him a unique perspective on culture that translates to business success.
Recognizing that principles of baseball could be utilized in the business world, Joel launched his successful speaking business in 2016. With audiences eager for more regular content, his podcast Rounding the Bases was released shortly thereafter. Through his interviews with business leaders, athletes and everyone in between, the bi-weekly installments expand on the topics of culture and leadership through a baseball lens.
In today’s episode, we talk about building and maintaining relationships and how to network with people including the day to day struggles of extraordinary people like Joel. He wants people to realize that no matter who you are or what you have become, we all stand on the same ground and deal with problems of our own. No one is living the perfect life, hence why connecting with people is very important, as everything you do is about people.
