For as late as up until the 1980’s Azerbajdzjan was seen as one of the most unreached countries for the gospel in the world. Azerbaijan is part of a region which had many Christians before the rise of islam. In 1994 Christian Åkerhielm was part of a big evangelistic outreach in this country and got to see many people turn their lives to Christ and a new movement rise up. Missions start from within. It is about understanding the revelation that Jesus is coming back soon and living it out. God has chosen us all to carry a spirit of missions, no matter our personality, gifts or callings. How can we prepare for Jesus to come back? How can we "be" missions?
