The Mitchell Relief Center has opened on the field between Harris Middle and Deyton Elementary School buildings in Spruce Pine. Shelter manager Doug Norman shares the services offered and reminds everyone that you do not have to stay in the shelter overnight to take advantage of their services (food, laundry, showers, wi-fi, an area to work or relax).
