May 1, 2024 | Eighth graders Camden Ewalt, Sydney Latham, and Trey Simons teach God's Word and encourage their peers. Highlighting Proverbs 3:5-6, Camden talks about how to trust the Lord with everything and know that God will guide us every step of the way. Sydney teaches on how as Christians, we are called to be the salt and light of the earth, as it is mentioned in Luke 14:34-35 and Luke 8:16. Reading from Romans 6:7-11, Trey Simons discusses how to die to ourselves in order to live for Jesus.
April 24, 2024 | Teaching from John 5, Cory O'Hara walks through Jesus performing the miracle of healing a sick man and helping him to walk again. Through this miracle, we learn how this was the start of the people realizing that Jesus is the Messiah they have been told about from their ancestors.
April 17, 2024 | Teaching out of John 4, Jake Simmons walks through the story of the Samaritan woman at the well and how Jesus revealed Himself to her as the Messiah. Jesus tells the woman that the Gospel is the living water that gives eternal life. Whoever drinks from it will be with Jesus forever.
April 10, 2024 | Reading from John chapter 3, Cory O’Hara walks through the story of Jesus and Nicodemus as a reminder that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, as it is written in John 14:6. We can only know the truth by knowing who Jesus is and believing in Him as God’s Son and the Savior of the world.
April 3, 2024 | Donny Mayo reads out of John 2 about what it looks like to walk with Jesus and how to navigate walking with the Lord.
March 27, 2024 | Teaching out of John 1:19-29, Cory O'Hara talks about Jesus being the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Just as a lamb was used a sacrifice in the Old Testament, we read that Jesus was sent as the perfect sacrifice for us so that if we believe in Him, we can be with Jesus for all eternity.
March 20, 2024 | Starting a new series in John, Cory O'Hara teaches out of John 1:1-14, where we read that Jesus is the light and the hope of the world. The world is a dark place full of sin, and sin leads to death. But when God sent Jesus to earth, Jesus became that light to the world so that everyone who believes in Him will have hope, salvation, and eternal life. That's our goal: to believe in Jesus and to share Jesus with others.
March 6, 2024 | Teaching out of Judges 6:11-16, Sam Morris walks through Gideon's journey of God using Gideon to defeat the Midianites, even though Gideon's tribe was the weakest. Just like God used Gideon, God calls us to remain faithful to Him despite our weaknesses. God can use turn our weaknesses into strengths when we trust in Him.
February 28, 2024 | Teaching out of Hebrews 12: 1-2, Cory O'Hara talks about what it means to run our race of life for the Lord. Do we make the right decisions? Do we make wise decisions? Hebrews reminds us that Jesus is the foundation our faith, and we must keep our eyes on Him when we run this race of life.
February 14, 2024 | “Self-Control”
Teaching out of Luke 4:1-13, Jacob Simmons discusses what the scriptures say about self-control. In order for us to obtain self-control, we must acknowledge that self-control comes from the Holy Spirit. Jake also shares ways we can practice self-control in our everyday lives.
