The pageantry and exotic nature of Pride FC was on full display as we got to see what it looks like when a 168 pound man fights a 600 pound man. We also get to see an epic showdown between Kazushi Sakuraba and Carlos Newton fresh off of Newton's losing effort in the Middleweight tournament in the UFC.

5 months after securing a heavyweight tournament win, Mark Kerr takes his talents to Japan to fight a kickboxing legend. In the co-main event Marco Ruas also made his way to Japan to face the rising star of Gary Goodridge.
The UFC makes it's way to Louisiana to host the first Lightweight (170lbs) Tournament in UFC history. Frank Shamrock also tries to defend his title for the first time as he crosses paths with Igor Zinoviev.
