TMRC 0043 John Fisher was one of several amazing neighbors that shared residency with me in an eight unit garden style apartment building on the south side of Burbank, California.  In May of 2023 we all received 60 day quit notices to vacate due to the new owners wanting to renovate the units - referred to as "Renovictions" in the Los Angeles area.  The manager who was dealing with getting everyone off site, and, who was processing the evictions, was/is not viewed as a very likable character and helped only to make the moving out for everyone all the more painful.  To all who dwelt in this apartment building, well, generally, the feeling is the city of Burbank is way behind the curve in renter's rights, and, we felt failed by the mayor and their representatives, with the exception of Nikki Perez, and Nick Shultz.  It was fun to talk and rehash this silly recent event with my once neighbor John about being evicted for paying our rent on time and being good tenants...
