  • Movement Should Make Your Life Bigger

What are you actually training your body for?

Not what workout are you doing. Not how much can you lift. Not how deep is your split.

What do you want your body to help you do with your life?

In Episode 11 of The Mobility Mama Podcast, we’re zooming out from workouts, flexibility and fitness goals to talk about the bigger reason I care so much about mobility and strength:

I don’t want movement to become another responsibility in your life. I want movement to give you more life.

A body that lets you hike, travel, play with your kids, get on and off the floor, practice yoga, try new things, return to old hobbies and keep saying YES to the things you love.

In this episode, we talk about:

✨ Why the workout itself isn’t the destination

✨ Building strength for what you want to do outside the gym

✨ Mobility as freedom, strength and usable range—not just flexibility

✨ Why strength and mobility belong together

✨ Training for the future version of yourself

✨ Letting movement open doors instead of becoming another thing to accomplish

✨ Showing our kids what it looks like to move because we genuinely enjoy using our bodies

✨ Building a body you trust without turning your body into another project to optimize

And this week’s episode is coming to you from… my car. 😂

I’m parked just down the street from my house because driving around was the only way I could get Walker to nap—and there was absolutely no way I was risking that transfer.

Honestly, it feels pretty fitting for The Mobility Mama Podcast.

We work with the season we’re in. 🤍

    WHAT’S BRINGING ME JOY

I’m also sharing a little about my experience with Evlo Fitness, a new strength-training program I’m partnering with.

I’ve been loving how intentional and grounded the workouts feel and how naturally the strength work complements my yoga and mobility practice. It’s almost like the yoga version of a lifting program. 😂

It’s been a different training stimulus for me, I’ve experienced some unexpected soreness while adapting, and I’m really enjoying seeing how my body responds.

It’s also been such a good reminder that we don’t necessarily have to choose between strength, mobility, yoga, challenge and recovery.

    They can support each other.

    🌿 YOUR WEEKLY RESET

    Instead of asking:

    “What workout should I do?”

    Ask:

“What do I want my body to help me keep doing?”

    Or:

“What do I want my body to help me START doing?”

Maybe it’s hiking. Yoga. Skiing. Traveling. Playing with your kids. Gardening. Getting comfortably on and off the floor. Or trying something you’ve always wanted to do.

    Then ask yourself:

What would help me feel more capable doing that?

Strength? Mobility? Balance? Endurance? Confidence? Simply practicing the thing?

Reconnect your movement to something bigger than the workout.

Because we’re not trying to win at fitness.

We’re building bodies we trust so we can go live lives we love. 🤍

  • Stop Saving Movement for Your Workouts | The Mobility Mama Podcast Ep. 10

🤍 Welcome back to The Mobility Mama Podcast.

What if movement didn’t have to happen inside a workout?

Somewhere along the way, we started treating movement and exercise like they’re the same thing.

We worked out today, so we moved.

    Or…

We didn’t work out today, so we didn’t move.

But there is SO much space between those two things.

In this episode, we’re talking about how to stop saving movement for your workouts and start weaving more of it into the life you’re already living—especially during seasons of motherhood when a perfect 30- or 60-minute workout just isn’t realistic.

    We’re talking about:

✨ The difference between movement and exercise

✨ Why your workout doesn’t have to carry the entire responsibility of moving your body

✨ Finding movement opportunities in ordinary mom life

✨ Giving your body more movement variety throughout the day

✨ Why five minutes of movement really does matter

✨ “Movement snacks” and letting movement happen in pieces

✨ Getting on the floor, squatting, reaching, rotating, walking and playing

✨ Letting your kids be part of your movement practice

✨ Taking pressure off your workouts

✨ Why movement doesn’t have to “count” to be valuable

✨ Making room for rest without trying to optimize every second of your day

And in this week’s What’s Bringing Me Joy, I’m sharing a little behind the scenes of what I’ve been building.

I’ve been polishing up movement resources designed to meet moms in different seasons—from the days when five minutes is genuinely what you have, to the seasons when you’re ready for more structure, strength, mobility and challenge.

Seeing everything finally come together has been incredibly fulfilling, and I’m getting SO excited to share it with you. 🤍

That’s where I’ll be sharing everything first.

    🌿 YOUR WEEKLY RESET

This week, don’t add another workout.

Instead, look for three places where movement already fits.

Sit on the floor while your kids play.

Move your spine while your coffee brews.

    Take a short walk.

Squat down to pick something up.

    Dance while you make dinner.

    Play with your kids.

At the end of the day, instead of asking:

    “Did I work out today?”

    Ask:

    “How did I move today?”

Because your body doesn’t need movement to happen perfectly.

Movement can happen inside the life you’re already living.

Keep moving in a way that helps you feel strong, free, and connected to yourself. 🤍

  • What If You Let Yourself Be Interruptable? | The Mobility Mama Podcast Ep. 9

🤍 Welcome back to The Mobility Mama Podcast.

Last week, I randomly scrolled past an Instagram post that mentioned the idea of allowing yourself to be interruptable.

I didn’t save it. I didn’t think much about it at the time.

But then I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Every time I tried to answer an email, clean the house, make dinner, work out, or finish one tiny task—and one of my kids needed me—I started asking myself:

What if I’m interruptable right now?

And it completely changed the way those moments felt.

Not because my kids stopped interrupting me. 😂

But because I stopped expecting them to.

In this episode, we’re talking about motherhood, presence, expectations, productivity, movement, and what happens when we stop treating every interruption like something has gone wrong.

    We talk about:

✨ Building interruptions into the plan instead of fighting them

✨ Why our expectations can sometimes create more stress than the interruption itself

✨ Being present with our kids without abandoning our own goals

✨ The difference between being interruptable and having no boundaries

✨ Letting our kids join us in the ordinary parts of life

✨ Releasing some of the pressure to be constantly productive

✨ Allowing workouts and movement practices to be interrupted too

✨ Why five or ten minutes of movement still counts

✨ Finding more connection in the middle of busy seasons

✨ Accepting that motherhood and productivity don’t always happen in perfectly separate boxes

And in this week’s What’s Bringing Me Joy, I’m sharing something I’ve been intentionally practicing lately: being more present with my boys.

Sometimes that means sitting on the floor and playing.

Sometimes it’s building Legos and talking, racing through the house, telling jokes, or having a tickle fight.

And sometimes presence simply means letting them into what I’m already doing—cleaning, errands, workouts, yoga, cooking, and all the ordinary things that make up our days.

I’m learning that I don’t have to finish my life before I can be present for it.

And maybe my kids aren’t interrupting the plan.

Maybe I just hadn’t included the interruptions in the plan. 🤍

    🌿 YOUR WEEKLY RESET

The next time you feel frustrated because someone needs you while you’re trying to accomplish something, ask:

“Am I actually unavailable right now, or can I let myself be interruptable?”

If you genuinely need focused time, honor that boundary.

But if you can be interrupted?

    Try expecting it.

See if anything changes—not necessarily in your schedule, but in how heavy the moment feels.

Because your life doesn’t have to be perfectly uninterrupted for you to keep moving forward.

And neither does your movement practice.

Keep moving in a way that helps you feel strong, free, and connected to yourself. 🤍

  • You Don’t Have to Do Life the Way You Thought You Would | Mobility Mama Podcast Ep. 8

🤍 Welcome back to The Mobility Mama Podcast.

This week feels extra special because… I’M MARRIED. 😭💍

After years of talking about it, changing plans, growing our family, and waiting for the “right” time, we finally stopped asking what our wedding was supposed to look like and created something that felt completely like us.

    A tiny ceremony at home.

    Our family.

    Our boys.

    Handwritten vows.

    My dad officiating.

    Beautiful Colorado weather.

    Illegal Pete’s. 😂

    Champagne and margaritas.

    Chocolate cake.

    Our favorite music.

And dancing together on our patio in the mountains.

It was simple, intimate, incredibly meaningful—and honestly, better than the version we once imagined.

    And it got me thinking:

How much of our lives do we spend trying to follow an old picture of how things are supposed to look?

In today’s episode, we’re talking about:

✨ Letting go of imaginary timelines

✨ Why changing the plan doesn’t mean you failed

✨ How motherhood changes what we value

✨ Building a life that feels good instead of one that simply looks impressive

✨ Letting go of the pressure to “get back” to your pre-baby self

✨ Updating the vision you have for your body, movement, career, family, and life

✨ Why changing your mind can be a sign of growth

✨ Creating something meaningful with the life you have right now

✨ Why simple doesn’t mean less significant

✨ Learning to adapt when the original plan no longer fits

And of course, we bring it back to movement too.

Maybe you thought exercise needed to be an hour.

Maybe you thought your postpartum body would look or feel a certain way.

Maybe you’re still comparing yourself to a version of you that existed before motherhood.

But what if you stopped trying to go back—and started getting curious about where you’re going?

    🌿 YOUR WEEKLY RESET:

Think about one area of your life where you might still be holding onto an old version of the plan.

    Then ask yourself:

“If I stopped worrying about how I thought this was supposed to look… what would I actually want now?”

You’re allowed to update the vision for your life as you live it.

    You’re allowed to change.

    You’re allowed to adapt.

And you’re allowed to create something that looks completely different than you imagined—and feels so much better to actually live. 🤍

  • Your Body Wants More Ways to Move | The Mobility Mama Podcast Ep. 7

🤍 Welcome back to The Mobility Mama Podcast.

What if feeling better in your body isn’t about stretching more—but giving your body more ways to move?

In today’s episode, we’re talking about one of the ideas at the heart of everything I teach:

    Your body wants options.

Instead of constantly asking, “What do I need to stretch?” I want you to start asking:

“What movement haven’t I given my body today?”

Because the goal isn’t to create the loosest body possible. The goal is to create a body with choices.

In this episode, we’re chatting about:

✨ Why the same areas can keep feeling tight even when you stretch them

✨ Why tightness can be information—not automatically a problem to fix

✨ How motherhood can shrink our everyday “movement menu”

    ✨ Why movement variety matters

✨ Why your best posture might simply be your next posture

✨ The difference between being flexible and having usable, controlled range

✨ Why strength belongs in the mobility conversation

✨ Moving your whole body instead of always targeting the same “tight” spot

✨ How movement can become exploration instead of another workout

✨ Why even five minutes can give your body more options

I’m also sharing a little bit about my own movement practice lately—making a ton of progress, intentionally taking time off to recover, and coming back to my workouts with less pressure and even more excitement to move.

And there mayyyy be a little teaser about something very exciting happening in our life this week. 👀🤍

    🌿 YOUR WEEKLY RESET:

The next time something feels tight, experiment before immediately stretching that exact spot.

Give yourself 3–5 minutes to move your whole body.

    Reach.

    Rotate.

    Move your hips.

    Circle your shoulders.

    Squat.

    Walk.

    Breathe.

Then check back in and simply ask:

    “Does my body feel different?”

You don’t have to fix every sensation.

You get to be curious about your body, learn from it, and keep giving it new ways to move.

If there’s one thing I hope you remember from this episode, it’s this:

The goal isn’t to create the loosest body possible.

The goal is to create a body with choices. 🤍

  • You’re Allowed to Want More Than Motherhood | Mobility Mama Podcast Ep. 6

🤍 Welcome back to The Mobility Mama Podcast.

You can absolutely love being a mom—and still want things that belong to you.

You can adore your children, love the life you’ve created, and be incredibly grateful for motherhood while still having dreams, interests, goals, and things that make you feel excited to be YOU.

Those things don’t take anything away from motherhood.

In today’s episode, we’re talking about what it means to stay connected to yourself inside of motherhood—not by trying to “get back” to the woman you were before kids, but by getting curious about the woman you’re becoming.

    We’re chatting about:

✨ Loving motherhood while still wanting things for yourself

✨ Why our children don’t need to be our only source of fulfillment

✨ How easy it can be to lose touch with your interests after having a baby

✨ Why movement became one of the ways I reconnected with myself

✨ Letting go of the idea of perfect balance

    ✨ Why support matters

✨ What our kids learn when they see us care about something

✨ Making space for yourself without waiting for the “perfect” season

✨ Allowing motherhood to change you instead of trying to get your old self back

I’m also sharing what’s bringing me joy lately: the feeling that our family is moving into a new phase.

After several years that often felt like we were doing a really good job of surviving babies, sleepless nights, and constant transitions, lately it feels like we’re starting to thrive.

We feel more settled. We’re taking steps toward things we’ve put off for years. There’s a LOT happening—but underneath all of it is this really exciting feeling that we’re moving in the direction we want to go.

And maybe that’s part of this conversation too.

There are seasons where getting through the day really is enough.

And then there are seasons where a little more space opens up and you get to ask:

“What do I want the next chapter to look like?”

If there’s one thing I hope you take away from this episode, it’s this:

🤍 Loving motherhood deeply and wanting things for yourself are not opposites.

    You’re still allowed to learn.

    You’re still allowed to create.

    You’re still allowed to move.

You’re still allowed to have goals.

You’re still allowed to have things that are yours.

And you don’t have to become the woman you were before motherhood.

You get to discover who you’re becoming through it.

    🌿 YOUR WEEKLY RESET:

    Ask yourself:

“What’s one thing that’s just for me right now?”

Not because it makes you a better mom.

    Not because it’s productive.

Not because you should be doing it.

    Just because you enjoy it.

I’d LOVE to hear your answer in the comments.

  • You Don’t Need to Be More Flexible—You Need to Move More | Mobility Mama Podcast Ep. 5

🤍 Welcome back to The Mobility Mama Podcast.

If you constantly find yourself saying, “I’m so tight,” “I need to stretch more,” or “I’m just not flexible anymore”… this episode is for you.

Because maybe you don’t actually need to become more flexible.

Maybe you just need more opportunities to move.

In today’s episode, we’re talking about why so many moms feel stiff after having kids, the difference between flexibility and mobility, and why stretching harder isn’t always the answer.

    We’re chatting about:

✨ Why motherhood can leave our bodies feeling so stiff

✨ Flexibility vs. mobility—and why the difference matters

✨ Why our bodies need movement variety

✨ Why stretching isn’t always the answer to tightness

✨ How just five minutes of movement can make a difference

✨ Why movement doesn’t have to look like a workout

✨ Building a relationship with movement that comes from curiosity instead of punishment

✨ Simple ways to start moving more in everyday life

I’m also sharing a little bit about life lately—a hard week of very little sleep, a little boy who really needs his mama right now, and what I’m learning about adapting, accepting support, and enjoying a season that I know won’t last forever.

If there’s one thing I hope you take away from this episode, it’s this:

Your body may not need you to stretch harder. It might just need more opportunities to move.

So this week, instead of worrying about becoming “more flexible,” give yourself five minutes to explore.

    Move your spine.

    Move your hips.

    Reach.

    Rotate.

    Squat.

    Breathe.

    And simply ask yourself:

How does my body feel now?

  • Motherhood Didn’t End My Strongest Chapter | Mobility Mama Podcast Ep. 4

🤍 Welcome back to the Mobility Mama Podcast.

Motherhood changed my body, my priorities, my schedule, and the way I exercise—but it didn’t make me stop being curious about what my body could do.

If anything, becoming a mom made me want to keep asking:

    “What else is possible?”

In today’s episode, we’re talking about why motherhood doesn’t have to mean the end of strong, amazing movement—and why I stopped thinking about “getting my old body back” and started getting excited about where I could go from here.

    We’re chatting about:

✨ Why I stopped trying to “get back” to my pre-baby body

✨ How motherhood made me even more curious about movement

✨ Why moms are still allowed to have big, fun physical goals

✨ Learning new yoga poses and skills after having babies

✨ What our kids learn when they watch us practice, struggle, and try again

✨ Why your version of “strong” doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s

✨ Staying curious about what your body can do as you get older

This isn’t about every mom needing to do a handstand.

Your goal might be hiking with your family, touching your toes, getting onto the floor comfortably with your kids, lifting heavier, learning a yoga pose, or simply feeling strong and confident in your body again.

The goal is to never stop asking:

“I wonder what I’m capable of?”

Because motherhood isn’t the end of your movement story.

It might be the beginning of your strongest chapter yet. 🤍

  • The Story I Stopped Telling Myself About Motherhood | The Mobility Mama Podcast Ep. 3

🤍 Welcome back to the Mobility Mama Podcast.

In today’s episode, I’m sharing a story that completely changed the way I experience motherhood.

When I became a first-time mom, I felt more isolated than I expected. We only had one car, I didn’t have many friends nearby with kids, and over time I realized I was telling myself a story that wasn’t helping me become the mom—or the woman—I wanted to be.

This episode is about the mindset shift that helped me move from feeling stuck to feeling empowered, and why I believe the stories we tell ourselves shape the motherhood experience we have.

    We’ll talk about:

    ✨ Feeling isolated as a first-time mom

✨ The stories we tell ourselves

✨ Choosing empowerment without ignoring the hard parts

✨ How movement helped me reconnect with myself

✨ Why small, consistent choices can completely change the direction of your day

If you’re in a season where motherhood feels heavier than you expected, I hope this conversation reminds you that while we can’t always choose our circumstances, we can choose the story we build our lives around.

Welcome to The Mobility Mama Podcast! 🤍

As moms, we spend so much time trying to keep up with changing schedules, unexpected messes, sleepless nights, and all the little moments we never could have planned for.

I’ve realized that becoming more flexible in my body has taught me something just as valuable: how to become more flexible in my mindset.

In this episode, we’re chatting about:

✨ Why motherhood rarely goes according to plan

✨ The connection between mobility and mindset

✨ Learning to adapt without feeling like you’ve failed

✨ Why consistency matters more than perfection

✨ My challenge for you this week

If you’ve ever felt like your day was “ruined” because it didn’t go according to plan, I hope this conversation reminds you that there’s another way.
