In 2 Peter 3:3-4, the Bible speaks of scoffers or mockers (Jude 18) that would come in the "last days." Unlike skeptics that have been critical of Christianity down through the centuries, these mockers will specifically scoff at the coming of the Lord. Mockingly, they will declare, "Where is the promise of His coming." In this powerful episode, learn how the first-century Christians expected the coming of the Lord during their lifetime. Obviously, those early Christians were wrong, but their earnest desire and their misunderstanding of when the rapture would occur gave rise to mockers of their day. Soon, despondency kicked in after it was clear that the Lord wasn't coming in their lifetime. This caused a theological dilemma that some have identified as the "parousia delay" or the delay in His coming. The question for us today is, Will history repeat itself? In this exciting segment, learn how the expectations of modern-day Christians could possibly be a reason why the prophesied mockers will surface in the last days. How would critics and Christians alike respond if the Pre-trib rapture does not happen, and the Church is still here after it was supposed to be gone? Welcome to the Revelation Revolution.
