"The truth is, we all face hardships of some kind, and you never know the struggles a person is going through. Behind every smile, there's a story of a personal struggle."
Adrienne C. MooreEvery now and again it's nice to sit in the hot seat and be the one getting interviewed for a change.
I had the opportunity to sit down with Brigitte Bartley of The Brigitte Bartley Show and share some of my stories. We jump into A LOT including what led to the podcast, my career in television, and The Modern Man.
Brigitte is wonderful and shines brightly in the community she serves. She enjoys helping those around her as a Certified Life Coach with a focus on Nutrition, Mindset & Wealth Creation. Her questions are genuine, thought-provoking, and always cut deep in order to get the most honest and genuine answers.
Sit down with us as we discuss all things weather, television, getting over your fears, helping others, spreading love, The Modern Man, chasing your dreams, and so much more.
Thank you, Brigitte, for the time, the opportunity, and the awesome interview.

There's nothing as exciting as a comeback – seeing someone with dreams, watching them fail, and then getting a second chance.
RACHEL GRIFFITHSWe all make mistakes. I may be in the process of making one now. However, is the focus on mistakes or on progress?
Sometimes we find ourselves in a season of "Opps." Everything we try and attempt seems to just fall short. These are the times it becomes hard to push through and double down on your goals and dreams.
Andrej Suttles of Suttlesolution and I sat down twice to discuss this topic. Ironically enough, the first time we got together for the episode, WE NEVER HIT RECORD!
It was a set back that hit us both hard. The good news is this happened with someone comfortable and not a high profile guest. After letting it settle for a few hours, Andrej and I let it go and sat down to capture the topic again.
We learn from our mistakes. We grow along the way. Finally, we work on ourselves to get better. That's how we get through the hard times.
Your perspective of your struggle just might be holding you back.
Look at the season of "Opps" as an opportunity to grow and get better. At least that's how Andrej and I get through it.
Take a listen to today's episode and let us know how you get through the hard times. Please, be sure to comment below and subscribe to get the latest episodes each week. Also, ratings mean the world to us, so please leave some feedback if you can.

"To live, to TRULY live, we must be willing to RISK. To be nothing in order to find everything. To leap before we look."
Mandy HaleSometimes when you take a leap of faith in life, you land exactly where you've always wanted to be. The hard part is actually making that jump.
Brenda Luginbill, Founder & CEO of The NESS Fest is not afraid to jump. After listening to her for 5 minutes it's easy to see why. The height doesn't seem so overwhelming when you know you don't have to jump alone.
Whether it's a spouse, relative or friend, it's important to have that person that keeps you grounded. Brenda has kept that foundation close through new business ventures and a fresh start new cities. If life is a rollercoaster, why ride it alone right?
First beginning her career in L.A. as an event coordinator in 2003, Brenda would quickly work on events such as the Grammy After Party, Movie Premiers, Fashion Shows, Corporate Anniversary extravaganzas, and much more.
Taking the jump again, Brenda and her husband Nathan would move to Greenville, South Carolina to be closer to family. She brings her knowledge of catering, lighting/sound, and entertainment to the Upstate where she continues to work in order to exceed her clients' expectations as well as her own.
Since moving to Greenville Brenda has launched CB events, Industry Event Rentals, and The NESS Fest. The NESS Fest is a two-day health and lifestyle festival based in Greenville, SC covering all things wellNESS, goodNESS, fitNESS, and wholeNESS.
This year's festival will be at Flour Field on October 19th & 20th. If you're in the Greenville, SC area, make sure to come and join us!
Take a listen to Brenda's story and find out how a leap of faith leads to a journey of growth and wellNESS. As always be sure to comment below and leave a rating to let us know how we can keep giving you what you want to hear.

"We either live with intention or exist by default."
Kristin ArmstrongAsk yourself this question… Are you living with intent?
Is your current situation in life by design or is it by default?
Be careful when trying to decide between the difference here. Often times we fall into a routine that is laid out before us and call it intent. I intended to go to school, get good grades, get my degree and get a good job.
That may have been your intention while going through the process. However, was the inception of the idea your own?
As men, we need to take the reigns of our lives and decide what it is we want to do. Sometimes this means starting over and walking away from the things we once gave our lives to.
When you live with intent, you live with passion. You chase a purpose and infect those around you with your vision. As Sergio Loaiza, Owner of Pro Bros Productions and today's guest panelist points out; When living with intent, you're more connected to your Why.
This week's episode is another installment of The Modern Man. Take a listen as Tyler, Tim, Sergio and I explore how we as men can live with intent and some of the benefits that come with it.
Be sure to keep the conversation going by joining our Closed Facebook Group: The Modern Man.
Also! We look forward to hosting you Sunday, October 6th, 2019 from 4 – 7 PM as we record in front of a live audience and introduce you to share and be a part of the content!
